Here's what people think of Club Pilates

As of recent, Club Pilates holds a 4.4-star rating based on 20 reviews.

User feedback on Club Pilates consistently highlights the studio's quality instruction, cleanliness, and warm atmosphere. Positive reviews often mention the professionalism and friendliness of instructors, the effective use of high-end Pilates equipment, and the well-organized class formats that cater to both beginners and advanced practitioners. Many appreciate the community feel and the availability of various specialized classes such as reformer Pilates, strength training, and stretching. Reviewers have also noted the studio's safety and inclusive environment, especially for women, making it a welcoming place to exercise peacefully. On the other hand, some negative comments point to the relatively high cost per class, with drop-in rates ranging from $25 to $35, which some find expensive compared to traditional gyms. Additionally, some users mention that Pilates at Club Pilates may not appeal as much to men due to the gender imbalance in classes and request more tailored offerings such as 'men's nights.' The absence of extra amenities like showers or relaxation facilities can be a downside for those expecting a full spa-like experience. Nonetheless, the majority of reviews appreciate the value and quality of the Pilates programming offered. In summary, while Club Pilates may be a premium-priced fitness option, it delivers a superior Pilates experience with excellent instruction and a strong community vibe, offsetting its higher cost for many members.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of trying the first time free Pilates class at this location and it was great. Stacey is a wonderful teacher who's very kind, funny, and makes you feel comfortable. The staff working here was very kind and had great customer service. I will be returning to do more classes!

I really wanted to like this studio since it's the closest to my home, but unfortunately, I didn't enjoy it at all. I initially took their 30-minute intro class, which seemed appealing, and decided to sign up for the unlimited classes which required a 3 month commitment (signing up for unlimited gives you priority to book classes since I could never get in with class pass or a one time class with them). However, I was charged an enrollment fee, which surprised me, as I've been to other well-known Pilates studios and this was the first time I encountered such a fee. After attending only a couple of classes, I realized this wasn't the studio I wanted to be a part of. It seems there are regulars who have been attending this studio for a while, and during the classes, the instructor would often engage in random conversations and/or comments with them. There's a time and place for this, but it shouldn't be during a class. I'm used to a more professional setting where the focus is on Pilates, and the instructors assist and ensure you're performing the movements correctly. When I decided to cancel my membership, I explained that this was my reason. However, the studio is still requiring me to pay for my last month in September, which I find to be poor customer service—especially since no one reached out to me after the fact and I only went to 3 classes. I do not recommend this studio!

I have been going to the Mission alley Pilates for the past 6 months. It’s been great! Chantelle, Diane and Stacey are fun and so helpful with instructions to make sure moves are correct. Madison is great for the zen and breathing to start the day! Everyone is fantastic. I couldn’t ask for a better Pilates team!

Some of the instructors are great, but others just do the same thing over and over in class. It also seems like some of the members have been there for quite some time and you feel left out of their inside jokes. My main problem is scheduling out an entire month and you can almost never get classes the first week your new classes are available. I left after three months and have joined another Pilates club where scheduling is not an issue and EVERY class is unique.

I don’t recommend the mission valley location at all. I was with them for 5 months & when I informed them a month in advance that I will be moving due to military orders, Chantelle told me that I would be charged for the last month regardless (even though I was never told I have to give a month notice) i still gave a month notice 02/23-03/23 but she said that it has to be from the “billing date” to be considered a month. I informed Chantelle that I didn’t know of this policy and that this is a military relocation but she gave no room for any other option but the fact that I will be charged the +$200 no matter what (or another option that was $20 cheaper, which honestly made no sense & felt like a scam) Now that I moved to another state and checked with a different club pilates, they told me that when it comes to military orders you are waived any fees no matter what & that you can also freeze your membership for as long as you want at no charges. Also my mom goes to a different location in san diego and they are way more lean and understanding. I was very disappointed that she made me pay +$200 for the last month that I barely was able to attend, it was very inconsiderate of military orders that we have no control of.
