Community Fishing Water offers a unique and accessible fishing experience right within Connecticut's urban neighborhoods and major population centers. Designated as one of 17 lakes under the Community Fishing Waters program initiated by the Fisheries Division, it provides a fantastic opportunity for friends and families to gather and enjoy outdoor recreation without traveling far. The program emphasizes community involvement by partnering with local civic groups and municipal leaders to enrich natural resources and promote sustainable fishing. Anglers can enjoy trout fishing in the spring and fall, with four species stocked—rainbow, brook, brown, and tiger trout—which makes it a diverse fishing spot. The environment is managed to ensure a healthy fish population and a clean, welcoming atmosphere, making it an ideal place for social gatherings, outdoor fun, and connecting with nature in an urban setting.

Beautiful place to see some ducks and great view of the Hole in the Rock. Start here, then hike up the easy Hole in the Rock trail then finish up your day either at the Desert Botanical Gardens (free second Tuesdays of the month) or go to the Phoenix Zoo.

A very nice and secluded park with wonderful views and wildlife, ducks etc. some guys fishing, the only downside is that the ramadas stink like urine really bad. Even though there are bathrooms, I hate when people is this selfish.

It's a pretty decent sized lake with parking right nearby, including accessible parking spots. The only downside is I did not see any sidewalk around the lake. It was a gravel bank around the lake and there's palm trees around the lake. There's also a ramada with some stone decor by the lake, but it seemed like some homeless folks were occupying it. Scattered around the lake are more picnic tables to sit at. There's a view of the Papago park and buttes. At the other side of the road, there's an artificial stream/mini waterfall that flows in.
