Signed my son up for a beginner camp and honestly it was the worst sailing experience he ever had. Unfortunately it was very very hot (nearly 100 degrees) and there wasn’t any wind or shade at the boulder reservoir. Second, the bacterial counts were so high that they couldn’t even go in the water. When I picked him up in the afternoons he was lethargic, bored and was close to having heat exhaustion. I emailed the Executive Director with my concerns which were completely dismissed. For the cost of this program ($550) I would have expected much more. Really sad how unresponsive and defensive the ED was towards my concerns. There are better places and locations to teach your kids to sail….
