I cannot say enough about Cook. After a terrible experience in SDUSD, Cook is like a breath of fresh air. The program is set up for student success from the very beginning. The teachers and staff at Cook are dedicated to helping all students succeed both academically and behaviorally. On the surface Cook may look like a restrictive environment. However, because of the structure and professionalism at Cook, my son has found more independence, has had significant gains in self-esteem, and self regulation. The Cook Center was life-changing for my son and our entire family.

This school is a specialty school, very different from public schools. I like how the students here have more one on one attention and the teachers seem more trained or maybe have more access to tools that help these kids a ton. The teachers I've met are all very nice.
