I ask for the chicken on the side… wrapped in foil.. that’s what Harmonie gave me chicken covered in sauce and pickles on the tray.. not on the side… the bun was in another bag wrapped in foil. Service is trash and so is the quality of food… 🤮 I used to love coming to cookout every time I visit Raleigh… I’ll never 👎🏾 come back.. it’s 2025. How hard is it to put a piece of chicken on the side?

The food was SO good! And the workers were very helpful and nice. It was me and my husband's first time there, so we needed some help through the menu. They helped us order and were patient. If we lived there, we would be there ALL the time.

Just finished my coke and when I went to eat some ice I noticed and black spec, which turned out to be a bug in the ice.

What makes Cook Out’s location and service style advantageous for groups?

This setup minimizes wait times even at busy hours, which is important for larger groups who want to avoid long lines and can split into teams ordering simultaneously. The fast, efficient service ensures that your group can get their food quickly and start socializing without delay. Some newer locations also include indoor seating and counter service, providing a relaxed atmosphere for those who want to stay and chat longer rather than just grabbing takeout.
Additionally, Cook Out’s regional footprint spans more than 300 locations across 11 states, mainly in the Southeastern U.S. This widespread presence means it’s often easy for groups coming from different areas to find a convenient Cook Out spot nearby. How does the affordability and menu customization at Cook Out appeal to friend groups and families?
One of Cook Out’s biggest draws for group gatherings is its affordable pricing without sacrificing quality. The "Cook Out Tray" is a signature offering that exemplifies this value, bundling an entree, two sides, and a drink at a price point that fits various budgets. This makes it easy for friends or families to enjoy a full meal without worrying about overspending. Plus, the customization options—choosing different sides like hush puppies, Cajun fries, or coleslaw, and pairing with an extensive drink menu—allow each group member to tailor their meal exactly to their preferences, fostering a sense of personal choice within the group experience.
The pricing strategy ensures that hosting a casual meetup or family outing feels effortless and inclusive. It removes barriers that often come with arranging group meals, such as cost concerns or limited menu options. Cook Out’s focus on fresh, made-to-order items also means that despite the low prices, the food feels special and satisfying. These qualities support an enjoyable and affordable social atmosphere, making it a go-to destination for gatherings of all sizes.
