I came here for lunch. It’s the location by Georgia Tech. I am a born and raised North Carolinian so Cookout was a staple for lunch or late night snack after some hanging with friends and consuming adult beverages. I went to a Cookout while here in Atlanta in the South Cobb County area. It wasn’t that great of an experience…so I haven’t been back to one in a while. Decided to give Chick-Fil-A a break today and went next door to Cookout because I was feeling nostalgic. I’m glad I went. I decided to walk inside and order. The person taking my order was very friendly and professional. Food came out nice and hot in under 5 minutes. They lots of people in the drive through and the dining area had a few people enjoying a nice lunch break. I decided to take my food back to my office. I ordered a Cookout Tray with Double Cheese burger that had grilled onions and mayo. Some onion rings, a corn dog and caramel milkshake. All under $10. I was feeling greedy so I also ordered a Cookout style hot dog (homemade chili, mustard, Cole slaw and onions. I added ketchup). Y’all this place is doing it right. Food is good! Tastes just like I got it off market st in Greensboro, NC! Great service and the food is tasty, fast and hot! My milkshake is DELICIOUS!! (I wasn’t a big fan of the onion rings. But I’m also an onion ring snub. Will get something else next time.)

(7pm 7/28) If I could give zero stars, I would. This location is a complete mess when it comes to pricing. I’ve ordered the same meal multiple times and have never been charged the same price twice. One day it’s $10.88, then suddenly it jumps to $18.50 for the exact same order—with no explanation. Then a shift lead steps in and “adjusts” it to $14.00? That’s not a mistake—that’s shady. It feels like someone’s pocketing the difference. There’s absolutely no consistency or professionalism here. Either the staff isn’t trained, or something unethical is happening behind that window. Whatever it is, it’s unacceptable. If you're expecting basic honesty, avoid this place. Cook Out corporate needs to seriously investigate this location.

I wasn’t originally planning to stop at Cookout, especially after experiencing rude service at a few other nearby restaurants. However, I’m so glad I did. I was immediately greeted with fast, attentive, and welcoming service—especially from Jordan. Her professionalism and positive attitude truly stood out and turned my evening around. Keep up the great work!

Everything was cooked perfectly! Cheap food, no thrills, perfect way to end our busy day.

First visit to Cookout. Inexpensive but tasty food, minimal wait, staff was cool. I'm not a big pulled pork barbecue eater, but theirs was good. Hushpuppies were hot & crisp. Kids enjoyed their meals. Very good value.
