A very nice sailing club, good facilities & fun people. There are many different types of boats organized into fleets. Each has its own culture, but all fleets are the same in their love of sailing & racing sailboats. The fleets include Corinthian 19 keel boats; Flying Scott, Snipe, Butterfly & Laser centerboard boats; and the Radio Control fleet. The young people sail in the Jr. Fleet on Optimus Dingy, Laser & 420's. They compete all around the state & the southwest. Sailing education includes spring and fall adult classes and summer sailing camps for kids. Graduates are then welcome to crew on races in the different fleets. In the summer, the whole club gets together once a month for a party on the dock with live music, food & refreshments. Other events include appreciation nights for the local YMCA and the Dallas Zoo. Corinthian Sailing Club joins in with other sailing, rowing, and shoreline organizations to help keep White Rock Lake clean & beautiful.

My cherished sanctuary, a place so dear to my heart. Every evening, like clockwork, I would escape there around 6 p.m., drawn to its unparalleled tranquility and beauty. It was my haven, where I found solace in nature's embrace and basked in the splendor of the setting sun. Gazing across the serene lake, I would inhale the crisp, invigorating air, rejuvenating my spirit with every breath.❤️

I joined the Snipe sailing group which is a small part within Corinthian yacht club . Reasonable dues, big and clean. White Rock Lake is the jewel of Dallas, where Corinthian is located. An area to the north along the lake has clubs with rowing boats, other boats and even a dragon boat (like a canoe, but holds 20 paddlers, I thought it was a roadblock them carrying it from the enclosure walking 190 yards to the water. Everyone you meet at the yacht clubs are very handy, transparent and are willing to share their immense knowledge. Last week I was fortunate to work with Jim repairing the cable lift system that pulls the boat up out of the water when it is in the slip, a cable had snapped. It was a nice physical and mental challenge, rare these days. Much better than burning four hours on tiktok or binge watching Netflix. Real human beings with common interests, so refreshing. I found a nice group in the middle of the jewel of Dallas. I'll be a regular on Saturdays when it's not inclement weather.
