Always have a good time here. It is run very well. The lifeguards are top notch. Highly recommend. Only wish it was open more. Was there for the situation below. Not what happened from my view and the lifeguards were very professional. One of the accusers was trying to take pictures of people in the pool which is the highly inappopriate action. Kudos to the staff for handling it well.

Very disappointed with how this pool is now. There was a couple there the whole time on eachother. When we first came in we could see inappropriate behavior happening under the water. We told one lifeguard and nothing happened. About 20 mins later we told another. They told us they told the manager Val. Again nothing happened and we talked to a young man (lifeguard) who told us what was happening was inappropriate and something should happen. He pulled over the supervisor and they told us that what was happening wasn’t against the rules. It was very much inappropriate and we talked to other ppl that had kids there and they all agreed it was too much. It was an extremely uncomfortable situation for us and at the end of us talking to them they told us we can go to a different place and we’re very rude. We took a few photos and one of the lifeguards went up right by them. Then the manager Val came up to us and said we can’t take pictures of the lifeguards because they are minors. We had stopped talking photos at that time but it was just a very unpleasant experience. We have been coming here our whole lives. We were cubs and on the swim team at this pool. My sister was a lifeguard with this district. Over all we’ve been very involved with the city pool community and felt like we were in the wrong for pointing out an issue that would’ve been corrected in the past. I’ve seen people doing less get talked to. It’s just very unfortunate how everything ended. We talked to Val and grace and one other women wearing a white shirt and they were all very rude and dismissive about how uncomfortable it was for everyone at the pool.

Not accommodating to folks who want to swim in the single lap lane. The kids in the lifeguard chairs do absolutely nothing to keep the lane clear. Just because someone is swimming laps, doesn’t mean they’re experienced at dodging people and toys. I tried my best to not take up space and work around the kiddos, but am a beginner when it comes to sighting and swim practice in general. Consequently I found myself running up into people’s feet, knocking my head into a life jacket and then a random toy. It freaked me out, I lost my breath, came up for air and tossed it to the side of the lane. That led to being met by an angry woman at the end of the lane who said I threw the toy at her kid. Sigh. I tried to assure her I didn’t but she’d decided on the truth and that was that. I spent the rest of the swim preoccupied as to whether I was going to be accosted once I got out. It was fairly awful, a little scary, and made me sad. The “lifeguards” need better training here. Keeping the single lap lane clear is for the kids’ safety as well as the lap swimmer and would eliminate any of this kind of thing going forward.
