Mr. Ivan who runs the park is exceptional. We've been going to a park district offered class there and can't say enough nice things about him as a teacher. It's small but has a great park and great toys inside for little kids.

Nice park for younger kids. They try to get kids involved with sports and other activities like summer camp, tee-ball , baseball diamonds and movie night etc. No basket ballcourts but they have a mini soccer field for young kids. Tennis courts are no good but they use them for other things. Benches around the park to sit. Down fall people let their dogs run loose and it makes it hard to walk your dogs while other are running after yours . It would be nice to make have some programs teens and adults since they do have a field house. The park is now offering more activities for pre-teens and teens. It also teams up with the alderman and police dept to sponsor softball and kick ball games as well as health fairs. Its nice to see the community come together. . Update 2022... park is still nice for younger children, however have noticed older teens and young adults hanging out on the playground equipment and benches. Sometimes it doesn't feel as safe to walk around in afternoon or evening unless other parents are around. Also programmed activities this year were poorly planned.

Went to see Selena tonight; Movies in the Park. The movie was great. Too bad that more people didn't go. The park was almost empty. It was a pleasant night with no rain, but I think the earlier rain kept people away. The park was clean and well lit. Hopefully more people will go next time!
