Located on Hotel Cir by Atwood Hotel along Interstate 8. Plenty of parking and near many hotels. I came here because I wanted a good Angus Burger, but this place has such a big variety of food items such as 'Pizza, pasta, sandwiches, burgers, breakfast, and dinner plates'. I tried their 'Crust Burger' which is served with fries. The burger was delicious! The bun was perfectly toasted on the outside yet soft inside. Their fries are so yummy, seasoned just right. For dessert, I had their 'Carrot Cake' which went perfectly with my meal. That was one of the best carrot cakes I've ever had. The restaurant is clean with a good atmosphere. Full bar with happy hour from 2 pm to 6 pm. I ordered To-Go and waited about 20 minutes for my meal. Service was great. Shout out to 'Brenda' who was very welcoming and friendly. She offered me iced water as I waited for my food. Overall, I had a pleasant experience here and will definitely return to try their breakfast as it looks appetizing.

I was staying at a hotel a few block away so decided to order a pizza for takeout. I placed the order and arrived at the restaurant about 15 minutes later to pick up the order. I was greeted rudely by a female employee behind the bar who said “we are closed.” I was confused because they appeared to be open, the door was open, there were a couple sitting at a table. I told her I ordered a pizza online and was there to pick it up. The employee just said “we are closed”. “You need to call to get your money back. They should have known we are closed.” I was still confused as to why the restaurant was closed and the employee couldn’t have been more rude. I was walking out of the restaurant and then I saw the reason they were closed. San Diego health department had shut them down for a “vermin infestation”. No wonder she didn’t want to tell me why they were closed. A simple explanation would have been nice. I just ordered a $32.00 pizza and didn’t need to be treated rude when I arrived at your open restaurant to be told you were closed. Don’t take it out on a customer because the San Diego Heath department found a vermin infestation. Avoid this place. You will be greeted by a rude female behind the bar and vermin scattering under the counter.

We came in on a slow day. There were a total of nine patrons, probably 1/5 of capacity. The establishment was clean and well cared for. We were seated quickly. We received our drinks and gave our order. While waiting, I saw no tables eating and everyone had dour expressions on their faces. It should have been a sign. After about 30 minutes a three top finally received their food and they looked relieved. A couple walked in and didn't get served drinks for about 15 minutes. It took us 45 minutes to get our food. It took 35 minutes to get a drink refill. During that time there was no communication or an apology for the length of wait. When we finally got our food, the pancakes were so gummy. The Eggs Benedict was so overcooked that the yolks were hardboiled. The English muffins underneath were not toasted. The bacon was undercooked. The scrambled eggs were cold. I don't know if this place just opened but there is a ton to fix. Maybe the staff is new but the service was extremely weak. It was done with a smile otherwise we would have paid for our waters and left. I'm a very forgiving diner but this place was just a poor experience overall. Between the service, the food and the wait. Probably our worst dining experience in two years.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great Food, Friendly People — Hidden Gem! I’m in town on business and stumbled upon CRUST KITCHEN—so glad I did. I ordered the chicken pesto pizza, and it was absolutely delicious. The crust had the perfect crunch, the pesto was fresh and flavorful, and the toppings were generous and balanced. You could tell it was made with quality ingredients and attention to detail. The service was solid. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the whole place had a welcoming, laid-back vibe. I had a brief chat with the owner, who was incredibly nice and shared that this is a family-owned spot. You can really feel the pride and effort they put into everything. It’s clear they’re trying hard to do their best, and it shows. Honestly, it should have been busier—a place with food and service this good deserves more foot traffic. If you’re local, check it out and bring a friend. Supporting small businesses like this one matters. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to come back since I’m only here for work, but I’ll definitely be recommending it to others.
