10/10 new favorite walking trail I’ve found in a while. Parking lot is small but trails are really well maintained. Mountain views and TONS of prairie dogs and nearby horses! There’s a big gated dog park but dogs must be leashed on the trails which I realllyyyy appreciate since the Boulder Voice & Sight tag dogs rarely stay by their owners and my dog is small and shy. Love it!!

The Davidson Mesa trailhead occupies a high point in the local geology and provide one with a fairly commanding view in most directions but especially to the west toward the Flat Irons and Rockies beyond. As the sun was setting, and the sky was clear, the various colors of purple orange and gold began to Appear. It seems to be a beautiful park – well-maintained and cared for by locals and governmental authorities. It is these kinds of parks that make the Denver Boulder area so special for urban and suburban citizens. The informational sign provides an historic, prestoric and ancient context in which to appreciate the landscape. Well done! Credit where credit is due.

Beautiful views along the walking trail. Plenty of bikes, runners and dog walkers (designated areas for off leash as well) We did about a 3 mile loop. It's a beautiful area and has ample parking in the lot at the park and across the street.
