Both my wife and I are big electronic and bass music fans, but also enjoy all other kinds of music including oldies, indie, and alternative that we wanted played at our wedding. We worked with Rex who was incredibly helpful and professional right from the initial email correspondence to the final song he played on our special day. Rex tailored a package for us that included premium sound, a photo booth, a light up dj booth, and dance floor lights to make the event a killer vibe - not to mention at a price that fit our budget perfectly. He was even kind enough to play the event for us on his Birthday of all days! I am soooo glad we picked a Dj instead of a full band for our wedding and that is because Discosapien and Rex exceeded our expectations in every single way. Our dance floor was completely packed the entire night and our friends still talk about how good the music and mashups were 3 months after our special day. If you are looking for a company that will play the exact music you are looking for and still have the ability to fill in the gaps like a professional dj would at a concert, then look no further. Rex was the DJ for our wedding at Red Rocks. He played nothing but absolute BANGERS. We spent a few hours together, in multiple calls, prepping for what type of music we'd like to have at our wedding. We wanted to combine house/electro music (e.g. Fred Again, Daft Punk, Disclosure) with 90s/2000s rap (e.g. Outkast, Kanye, DMX) and classic funk (e.g. Brothers Johnson, Chic, Gap Band) so it was a dance party yet fun and relatable to everyone. We also didn't want corny wedding songs like chicken dance/cha cha slide, so Rex stuck to his guns and just let it rip. He is a legend and I highly recommend Rex's team to anyone who is planning a wedding in Colorado that enjoys this mixture of house, funk, and rap music. We had such a fun time at our wedding and Rex was at the heart and soul of that. Thanks again, Rex!!
