Dog friendly. Cozy 6 table spot to enjoy beers (no food but snacks available) that's pit you in the middle of the brew operation. Upstairs loft that's warm during cooler months. Support local Ballard breweries and stop by here for a pint. Bonus points for the free high-quality stickers!

Greg (the owner) does a great job with his brews at Distant West… he keeps his beers true to style and seems to enjoy them on the lower end of the IBU scale. The Märzen, Cream Ale, and Schwartzbier were fantastic! The interior has a showroom type vibe… you get to sit in the middle of all the fermenter vessels housing his next version of the brews. Even better on a sunny day when he opens the south facing garage door to let the sun in!

New Ballard brewery doing all the right things to make an immediate impact. As more of an IPA guy the brew styles were not all my favorite, but I still rocked out to some great beers with friends in a fun location. Easy access can be reached before all the other breweries in the district.

Been here a few times now and the beer is great. I love the warm loft when it's a bit chilly outside. Say hi to the owner, Greg, if you get a chance. He's a great dude who makes great beer. Can't wait to try more.
