Beautiful little spot. Overlooked for the area. Really quiet, peaceful, and some unexpected off trailing with a little river bend. A few quaint geocaches too! No benches or tables, just a walking trail. Not sure how crowded it gets in warmer climate or how the bugs are, but for a spring/fall meander, you won't be disappointed.

UPDATE 8-29-25 🙌🙌🙌 Great, beautiful, lots of space and mostly for walking. Mowed grass is the path some hiking on trails. My new Go To....new PICS and videos

A picture-perfect preserve nestled between Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor, best suited for off-road adventurers escaping the city. The vast variety of plant life will grab your attention along the mile loop, with plenty of opportunities to explore off the path. Exceptionally beautiful this time of year with asters and goldenrods blooming. Can't wait to go back!

Nice small local trail through woods and meadow. It's well marked with flags but the path isn't worn-in yet. One small muddy spot on the south edge in the back loop through the woods by the river was my favorite.

The trail varies between open grassland and narrow wooded sections. The cleared trail on the map at the trailhead is marked by orange or pink plastic flagging attached to trees. There aren't any benches or signage on the trail that we found. There are many areas that seem ideal for picnics. Parking for four cars in the small lot, maybe six if everyone parked carefully. We saw many deer as well as deer tracks, large bird prints, perhaps sandhill crane? There are no bathroom facilities here, be prepared.
