Found this place while walking by and the food smelled fantastic. Was seated almost immediately in a nice outdoor spot great for people watching. Ordered the steak enchiladas and they were fantastic! We enjoyed a delicious guacamole appetizer! It was a bit expensive, even for South Beach. Then we had the Al Pastor tacos which were saucy and marvelous! The Mahi tacos were filled with juicy, tasty fish. Very good! We ordered Mojitos, good flavor with fresh mint and a sugar cane.

My dad and I traveled to Miami for the first time this summer and obviously we wanted to hit Miami Beach. At Miami Beach we wanted to find a nice restaurant for lunch where we could grab a bite to eat at a reasonable price, within walking distance from the beach nearest to Lummus park. Don Sombrero was about a 10 minute walk from the beach and Lummus park and had a very cool casual vibe, displaying Mexican colours, artwork, and more. Our server Marcos was excellent; he checked up on us regularly, made sure we were well taken care of, and had a great sense of humour. He was also very patient with me as I spoke to him in Spanish (still learning). We ordered the tacos al pastor and Tacos a la Mexicana. Both tacos were delicious; super fresh, tasteful, and came out quick! If you like Mexican food and want a restaurant with great vibes, great food, reasonable prices, and a short walk from the beach, I would 100% recommend Don Sombrero’s!!
