We've heard a lot about Eight Sushi, so we couldn't help but have high expectations going in. Staff was welcoming and helpful with explaining the dishes. The drinks were great. The food presentation was beautiful. We really enjoyed the "Rice to Meet You" chef's choice nirgiri. Some of the pieces just melted in our mouths-- divine. A couple of rolls were a bit too sweet for us. The seafood tasted like it was high quality, but we couldn't help questioning the hefty price tag. It's high-end sushi, but the experience is more on the casual side.

I absolutely love this place. I heard great things about it and they did not disappoint. My favorite was the tuna crisp which is absolutely a must try. The Island roll was chefs kiss. The lounge area was a vibe. Chris runs the bar and took great care of us and the drinks were amazing. He’s a cool dude to talk to. Going to try Thursday night for girls night for the drinks in the lounge area. All in all this place is a must try!! 10/10!!!

The sushi here is incredible, it’s definitely one of the top sushi spots in the city in terms of food. I’m telling you the sea bass was the best thing I ate, the rice and vegetables were cooked perfectly and went well with the fish, no need for fork and knife because the fish cuts like butter and taste insane. Followed by “The Monroe”(tuna crispy rice) which we ended up getting three orders of because it was so good. Matcha margarita is great twist, and the dessert was delicious too, cheesecake was very rich if you’re into that, but the apple pie was class, that little muffin top was sensational.(check video for reference) The atmosphere of the restaurant is slightly more casual than I would’ve thought. Low-key but nice as well, at the corner of Brady Avenue and 8th Street. Has outdoor seating accommodations and a pretty big bar. The indoor dining area isn’t massive, but there is plenty of space and the tables are not too on top of each other. I’ve always heard good things about this place, and it definitely lived up to the hype. It can be hard to get a reservation here at a good time because it is very popular but we showed up slightly early for our reservation and they still seated us right away. Overall great experience, will definitely be back again! Not a lot of street parking, but there is a garage and they have valet parking. They have a cool after hours lounge next door called “after eight”

Had an awesome mother/daughter dinner date on a Thursday afternoon. We sat on the patio and everything was excellent, the service, the ambiance and the sushi, sea bass, & drinks 10 out of 10! Definitely a great date spot, may need reservations at busier times.
