This place is a complete scam when it comes to gratuity. I only came for the Sancocho de la Negra the only real service I received was from the lady who served me, and I tipped her directly in cash. When it was time to pay, the waitress was rude, disrespectful, and even threatened me by saying she would call the manager. The manager showed up with the same aggressive attitude. Instead of fixing the situation, she forced us to pay an extra gratuity on top of the cash tip we had already given. They tried to justify it by saying it was “the law,” which is a straight-up lie. Gratuity is supposed to be voluntary and based on service, not something imposed by intimidation and false claims. This restaurant is abusing customers, mistreating people, and misusing the concept of gratuity. Authorities need to investigate this shady practice immediately. If you value honesty, respect, and fair treatment, stay away from this place.

I had a great night at this place. There are no cover charges, but they charge you $40 in advance at the entrance that you can use to buy drinks. Just be aware that tax and tip will be charged separately each time you go to the bar. The crowd was on the younger side of the equation. Nice place to end the night.
