I had a great experience recording at Electrokitty! Not only is it a great price for the quality and caliber of this studio, but Garrett comes with this price!! Garrett has an amazing ear and it was clear to me after watching him edit tracks that I could trust his ear implicitly and the choices that he made. He really is an amazingly fast and talented editor and studio engineer and his speed and expertise will save you money and time! Garrett made excellent choices in microphones as well. He made everyone feel at ease and comfortable, and had great input musically and technically. I also used their acoustic piano in the studio which sounds amazing. Better than a Yamaha grand I've recorded on at a different studio. I highly recommend this studio!

Justin Armstrong is the unsung here of many a hit song and is always there to help out. You can put out a hit album here with no problem. Great vintage gear, and great techs.

Back in 2015 I booked a full day session with Garrett, the lead engineer at electrokitty to mix and master a single track of mine that was featured on a radio show. I was on a deadline and asked if he could finish the production within that same day, since the song was already 90% complete and only needed some analog mixing and mastering. Like myself, Garrett was trained in classical music. He is very talented and has a good ear for adjusting levels, which was the primary problem I needed to fix. The only issue I had was that he was not very welcoming or willing to work with me. I ended up paying him $500 for the 6.5 hours full day studio session, which was supposed to be 8 hours of work...but he took an hour and a half to go eat Thai food. When the day was over, I called him that night and asked if he was willing to put in a bit more time to adjust some of the tracks, since they didn't turn out how I had requested. He texted me back saying "dude it's night time, call me tomorrow." I have never had a sound engineer who had this sort of an attitude towards business, and I have worked with people who have grammies by the way. Every time I texted him and asked if he could fix something, he told me "okay but it will cost you another hour." After asking him numerous times, he was willing to adjust some of the levels, which ran me another $200 extra. All in all, $700 to record 6 measures of backup vocals and to mix and master a song that was already 90% complete was sort of ridiculous. I just feel like he was in it for the money, and had really no interest in producing a quality song. I definitely would not recommend this studio.
