The director decided to refuse taking a new kid on the second week despite multiple openings! He claims it’s a pool policy that I couldn’t find anywhere online. In fact, several other Seattle public pools are taking kids even though they started before this one! The director whom I spoke with on the phone is being unnecessarily difficult (to put it nicely) and depriving my kid from the opportunity to learn how to swim. What was surprising is this policy only came to live after taking my full information and just before they were about to sign us up, which begs the question of ulterior motives!

The staff here are the best! And such an awesome park location! It's okay to park further away in the neighborhood. And there is a nice sauna if you enjoy that like I do!

I just go for the sauna, which is great there. Only issue being the innacurite online schedule and swim class policy. If a class is in session you cannot use the sauna for some reason. And since the online schedule does not show most of the classes, you may not be able to use the pool or sauna at all. I recommend taking a picture of the class schedule posted on the pool room wall, it is accurite.

A decent public pool but there are many others in the area that are much better. It is extremely shallow so if you enjoy your skin being scraped off then it is good for you. The staff are nice as is the case with most public pools in the area. The diving board is one of the worst board I have been on and the locker rooms are small and often unclean. Decent pool but not the best.

My daughter (7 years old) had her first swim class at the Green Lake pool this week, and it was a good experience overall. Friendly staff, nice clean pool, not too big. They did good crowd management at the beginning of the lesson, and she said the pool was great. We only wish there were a couple more showers in the locker room--some girls have to wait a while to shower afterward.
