Why Fair Isle Brewing is a fun option when searching for things to do near me with friends and family
Fair Isle Brewing, located in Seattle's vibrant Ballard neighborhood, offers an exceptional experience for friends looking to gather and savor unique craft beers. Specializing in mixed-culture saisons and farmhouse ales, this brewery distinguishes itself by embracing local terroir and wild yeast to create nuanced, artisanal brews. The brewery’s focus on using mostly local ingredients, including malt from regional maltsters, hops grown in the Pacific Northwest, and even foraged botanicals like fir tips and elderberries, gives its beers a distinct sense of place and authenticity. Visitors can enjoy sipping thoughtfully crafted saisons such as Diane, an imperial saison enriched with blueberries and wild fir tips, or enjoy experimental releases aged in oak or gin barrels. The taproom itself is designed to provide a welcoming space with separate areas for tasting, private events, and a barrel room, fostering a communal yet intimate atmosphere. Despite opening its doors in January 2020 during a challenging time for the hospitality industry, Fair Isle Brewing has quickly established itself as a beloved local gathering spot. Friends can expect to meet in a warm setting that celebrates creativity, tradition, and the subtle artistry of farmhouse-style brewing while enjoying some of the most highly regarded beers in Seattle’s craft scene.

Dang!!!!! the food here was super great. I highly recommend the seafood. It’s not traditional Mexican but it is something better. It is super delicious. The chef, waitress couple is really fun and friendly. The chef created a passionfruit salsa that is to die for. I wish you would bottle that up so I can take him back to Los Angeles. We were so hungry. We actually forgot to take pictures of the food before so please bear with me and trust me that the food is delicious.

Vibes? Immaculate. Sours? Tart but crisp. Magnets? Aesthetic. I wouldn't get my St. Patrick's day matcha beer again, but everything else was awesome. Cool spot.

Solid brewery and one of the many fantastic ones in the Ballard brewing district. Less than 300 feet from Lucky Envelope and a cider house, walked in and was met by two grade A bartenders. Went with their house lager which was as advertised. Tasted a little bitter, but enjoyable none the less. They have 12 oz pours which was perfect for my little afternoon brewery crawl. The bar is big, plenty of seating, one of the great ones to start your Ballard Brewery crawl.

This was my first time at Fair Isle and it was fantastic! Their beer was so good and refreshing. They have a cute tap room and patio, both are 21+ and they allow dogs in the patio area 😁There’s plenty of bike parking out front. Would definitely recommend!
