Very large clean park, we had lunch in the shade and the kids played at the playground. Public toilets and tables, and a nice little river running through the park. The playground in my opinion is suited for children 2 and over. No swings for babies, and most of the climbing is abit higher off the ground.

Fairmont Park is seriously my favorite spot in town! I love coming here because it has everything you could possibly want for a fun and relaxing day outdoors. First off, the dog park is a fantastic place for my pup to run around and play with other dogs. It’s so great to see him having a blast while I kick back and enjoy the fresh air. One of the highlights of the park is the beautiful pond. It’s stocked with trout, so fishing enthusiasts can have a little fun trying to catch something. I often find a nice spot by the water to unwind, especially on sunny days. It feels like a little escape from the city! If you’re into sports, Fairmont Park has got you covered! There are volleyball courts, basketball hoops, pickleball courts, and soccer fields all available. I often grab a few friends for a game of basketball or a friendly match of volleyball. It’s a great way to stay active and enjoy some friendly competition. For families, the huge playground is a total hit! Kids can run around, climb, and explore, while parents can relax nearby. I love seeing all the families enjoying the space together. Another great feature is the BBQ area. I’ve hosted several get-togethers here, and it’s perfect for grilling up some burgers and hot dogs. The big covered area with picnic tables is fantastic for larger gatherings or just enjoying a meal with friends. Plus, there’s so much open grass around that you can spread out and have a picnic or play frisbee. Being in the heart of Sugarhouse is a huge plus too! There are so many close-by businesses, shops, and cafes, so you can easily grab a coffee or snack before or after spending time in the park. Overall, Fairmont Park offers a perfect blend of relaxation, fun, and community vibes. I can’t recommend it enough!

Great park for pickleball! You can almost always find games going on from around 6 PM until the lights go out. It’s a great spot for beginners — there’s a paddle queue system, and most people are good about rotating in. I also really like the location; it’s tucked away in a spot where the wind doesn’t mess with your game too much.

Super fun park to take your kids to if they like feeding ducks like mine do. They have a great stream and an awesome pond. The wood walkway around the pond is very well done. After feeding some hungry ducks, we played on the slides and swings and explored a bit. The skate park that used to be swimming pools when I was a kid is fun to stop and watch the skaters do their tricks. I had heard the homeless population in the park can be intimidating for some but we had no problems at all.
