I have never tasted falafel this good in the U.S. Brought me right back to Erbil; so fresh, flavorful, and the authentic amba is the best. If they ever start selling it on samoon bread, I’ll probably gain 20 pounds because I won’t leave. (For now, French bread works too). Run, don’t walk to this place.

Mohammed (the chef) and one of the local workers shared a table and some hummus with me as I ate my large veggie max falafel sandwich. There is complementary hot tea brewed strong. This was everything I wanted out of a gas-station foot-cart. I would ask next time if there is a stronger seasoning or sauce for the veggies and bread. But the falafels were perfect.

The food was absolutely delicious, and subtly different from other falafels I ate in the area. The Amba sauce gives the food a unique flavor. I can't wait to come back and try some of the other things on the menu!

Located at the Chevron on El Monte. Excellent falafel and beef kofta sandwich!! It's a ton of food for just $12 a sandwich. The chef is super kind and offered a falafel for me to sample. It was perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I don't think I've had Iraqi food before so I was surprised at how unique (in a good way!) the food tasted compared to your standard Arab/Mediterranean cafe. It's cash only but he said he's setting up a credit card machine and venmo very soon. Can get cash back at the gas station.

Absolutely amazing experience. Had lunch here and not only was the food delicious and fresh, but the chef was the kindest most hospitable person. He brought my friend and I watermelon as it was a hot day and was super attentive while juggling preparing food and helping other customers. 10/10 experience, come and support!
