This was my first time at Flora. I went for brunch with my family. I had a reservation, and we were seated quickly. The place is lovely, with a nice atmosphere. The service was good, the waiter was friendly, and our food arrived relatively fast. That said, I want to focus on the food—because, in the end, that's what matters most to me. Out of the five dishes we ordered, four were quite bland. They weren't bad, but they were seriously underseasoned. I ordered an Americano, but it was very diluted and lacked any real coffee flavor. My companion’s mocha tasted more like hot chocolate than coffee. I’m not sure I’d return. The place has a lot of potential, but the flavor left much to be desired.

Booked this place on Open Table after exiting a visit to Cabrillo National Monument Park. (20 min out) We planned to visit Balboa Park after so this was a perfect neighborhood to grab a late weekday brunch/lunch. The choices were interesting. We got the Salmon Benedict on the croissant and the burger. (4 ⭐️) Chilaquiles with carnitas was 3⭐️). Service was charming and kind. We were seated towards the back of the restaurant as many tables in front had dirty dishes (were yet to be cleared). It was a little stuffier back there.

The menu is filled with incredible options, and our waiter Luca made the experience even better with his fantastic recommendations and super friendly service. Can’t wait to come back!

Had a great experience at Flora for a birthday brunch! The restaurant itself is lovely, with great attention to detail and a vibe that we sorely need more of in North Park. The service was fantastic, and you could feel the care that everyone who worked there had. The food was crazy good - I had the shakshuka and my wife had the eggs benedict. We may also have gotten a bonus stack of French toast, and let me tell you we regret nothing. We'll definitely be back - amazing spot!
