I agree with others who have recently posted about this gym having gone downhill fast. I would NOT recommend this gym to new potential members. There have been no recent movements that suggest this is a good place to spend your dollars. It’s honestly so disappointing to see how Flow Fitness has been managed since the ownership change. I used to love coming here. The gym felt welcoming, energetic, and responsive to members’ needs. Now, it feels like everything that made Flow special is backsliding in a big way. While summer is always a slower time for gyms, what’s happening at Flow goes far beyond a typical seasonal slowdown. Class sizes are noticeably smaller than in previous summers, and the energy in the gym just isn’t the same. The overall vibe has become negative, and it’s impossible to ignore how much things have declined. The new policy around booking classes is a real problem. It has gotten to the point where instructors even mention how difficult it is for them, since they have no idea how many people will actually show up for class. This uncertainty makes it harder for them to plan and deliver a good experience, and it’s clearly frustrating for both staff and members. People are showing up late, and instructors are forced to adjust on the fly. Members can be heard complaining about fees on a weekly basis, with many voicing that they no longer sign up for classes ahead of time for fear of punitive charges if they need to adjust their schedule. This then has the effect of less people attending. The class schedule, which used to be a major strength of Flow, has become a huge letdown. Some days only have two or fewer evening classes, and there are multiple days where nothing starts after 5:00pm. If you work somewhere with standard hours, it is very difficult to attend. The newly limited selection of classes that are offered often overlap, so if you want to do more than one in a day, you’re out of luck. This really reduces the value of the more expensive memberships, since you just can’t get as much out of them as before. While it makes sense to offer fewer classes in the summer if attendance is down, the way the schedule is set up now just doesn’t work for members. In the past, classes were scheduled at times people could actually attend, and they were staggered so someone could do more than one in a visit. Now, the schedule is a mess. While small adjustments, like shifting classes by 10 or 15 minutes, could make a big difference, management only seems intent on limiting offerings. Overall, the new management and policies have made things worse for both members and instructors. The community and energy that made Flow Fitness special are not there.

Updating my review from 4 years ago: Zero Stars. Flow was a great gym and recently got bough out by a tech bro. They have a 12 hour late cancellation policy of $5 totally reasonable. Next week the cancellation policy is going to $15 for 12 hours or less and $25 for 2 hours or less. I am so very truly disappointed. I have been a member since they opened. I saw them as a community oriented and community geared gym. Which offered free memberships during the pandemic to unemployed people. Now I just see them as another scammy money hungry company. The vibe is gone, stay away! Flow is an all around great gym with wonderful classes and a strong sense of community. The employees are all really nice and the management is really responsive and will work with you when you have membership questions, or if you need to pause or cancel. They are respectful and generous

I was visiting from Chicago and took Katrina’s Bodypump class - it was the first time in my 10+ years of doing Bodypump that the Les Mills app was down. Katrina simply used alternate music and choreographed on the fly, and was PHENOMENAL. It takes one heck of an instructor to not only choreograph on the fly like that, but do it well and give everyone a great class. Thank you Katrina! The club itself was great - equipment was well maintained and plentiful with plenty of cleaning towels, the studios fit the moods of the classes they were intended for, and the locker rooms were clean, bright, and well stocked. All of the club staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. I’d definitely become a member if I lived in Seattle.

Absolutely love this gym! The equipment is top-notch and well-maintained, making every workout smooth and effective. But what truly sets this place apart is the personal trainer, Nick. He’s incredible—super knowledgeable, supportive, and really makes working out fun. I’ve not only been enjoying my sessions more, but I’ve also learned so much about fitness, proper form, and overall health. Highly recommend this gym, especially if you get the chance to train with Nick!

I love this gym. It is clean, well maintained, they have a great selection of free weights, a spacious open mat area for stretching or doing abs etc. They have lively classes and the staff is friendly and helpful. If you live in Downtown Seattle you do not have a lot of options for gyms unless you want to pay a small fortune for the WAC. Flow is perfectly priced, not insanely busy and has the perfect setup to get you a great workout. I highly recommend them if you are visiting downtown or are new to Downtown.

The studios have buffer periods of at least 30 minutes between sessions to allow for deep sanitation, ensuring a clean and hygienic space for everyone. Flow Fitness has also installed bi-polar ionization units in the HVAC systems, which are proven to kill viruses such as Sars-Cov2, thereby improving air quality and reducing the risk of airborne illness. Masks are optional, respecting member preferences while still providing wellness-focused standards. The facility is stocked with cleaning stations for personal use, allowing members to wipe down equipment before and after use. These extensive measures provide peace of mind for groups looking to spend time together in a safe, clean, and health-conscious environment, so your friends can focus on having fun and staying healthy.

It is a Hispanic/Latinx-owned business that openly embraces diversity, inclusivity, and respect for all identities, including LGBTQ members. This ethos fosters an environment where everyone feels seen and supported, something that many fitness centers lack. The comprehensive safety measures and state-of-the-art ventilation systems also reflect a modern approach to member care. Skilled instructors also pay close attention to form and technique, reducing the risk of injury — critical when people are working out together and may try new activities. Their ability to design engaging, varied classes keeps the sessions fresh and exciting, helping groups stay committed for the long term.
