Definitely a hidden gem. Came across this restaurant because my daughter wanted dumplings. They did not disappoint. It's a very compact restaurant. My daughter ordered the vegetarian dumplings. My friend had the shrimp lo mein, and I had a chicken and potato with noodle dish. I can't remember the name. We shared a combo fried rice, no pork. All the entrees are large enough to share for a decent price. I appreciate they use jumbo shrimp in their dishes. The dumplings were flavorful and so was the shrimp lo mein. My noodle dish was good but the chicken lacked flavor. The sauce in the dish was delicious but the chicken either needed to marinate in it longer or they need to season the meat. Service was fast. I really liked they brought each dish out as it was ready. The dumplings took longer because they are hand made to order.

Discovered this gem a few months ago. Now it becomes my FAVORITE Chinese (northeastern) restaurant in Chicago and I’ve been coming here to eat almost every weekend. The food is so authentic and it reminds me of a lot of the dishes I had growing up in Beijing. The dumplings are all handmade with flavorful fillings and well made wrapper. I’ve tried almost all the flavors (boiled or pan fried) and they are all delicious. I’ve also tried many different dishes (10+) and they all exceed my expectations. Also the portion is very generous with decent price. I’m yearning to come back to try more dishes every weekend. On top of that, the waiter and waitress here are very friendly and professional. They always have a warm smile on their face. It always makes me happy to see a lot of non-Chinese customers enjoying the authentic food here as well. Highly recommend this place!

I would like to say hands down the food was amazing 👏. My family enjoyed it. The fried rice was flavorful. The noodle dish was tasty and the star was our eggplant dish. So I ordered 3 kinds of dumplings. I asked for 2 to be steamed and one to be pan-fried. As you can see in the picture all of our dumplings were pan-fried. There is an up-charge for pan-fried dumplings. I allowed the server to recite the order back before it was placed. She also confirmed the order with another lady before it was placed so I am not sure why our dumpling order still came out wrong. They bring dishes out one at a time so my family was in the middle of eating when the dumplings came. They were tasty but we all would have enjoyed them how we requested them. When I brought it to the waitress attention she just stared and said okay. I got the bill and noticed that they didn't adjust it for the mistake they made. Then I was told the receipt machine was down and that I wouldn't be able to have my copy. I paid the bill which was different from my banking statement. I Left a cash tip. When I checked my banking statement it was a charge that says Four Seasons Hotel and Resorts!!! I was shocked because I hadn't made any purchases at that hotel. Overall please only bring cash and triple-check your order.

I ate here by myself because I was in the area running errands. I’m so glad I randomly chose this place. The dumplings are amazing. When I ate the dumplings there at the restaurant they were so crispy and fresh! I even took and order to go to bring back to my kids who also loved it. About two days later I had my husband go back and pick up some more dumplings and this time we tried the garlic chicken and also the shrimp and rice noodles. I’ve had the general tsos chicken, pork shrimp and chive dumplings, shrimp and rice noodles, garlic chicken, green beans and the best is the rice noodles and dumplings, I think that will be my go to order. Staff is also very kind and welcoming to all.
