I visited the Freedom Farmers Market for the first time, and it definitely won’t be my last. Located at the Carter Center, parking was easily accessible—a big plus! The market runs every Saturday from 8 AM to 12 PM and features a variety of local vendors offering fresh fruits, produce, and more. What really stood out to me were the flowers—especially the vibrant Celosia. I picked up two beautiful bouquets, along with some small sculptures and other goodies. Unfortunately, the rain started to pour, cutting my visit short. But I’m already looking forward to returning—especially for the flowers!

Love coming to this fresh farmers market. Went there last on 8/31/2024. As always, the fresh produce and flowers look good: eggplant, okra, tomatoes, leaf lettuce, etc. I have been going every Saturday. Highly recommended.

Great place to come and find fun stuff to cook. They have beautiful seasonal flowers, fruits and veggies. Not a lot of order to go food options so maybe eat before hand. I bought flowers and hibiscus at my last visit and made Carribean sorrel

I love this market so much because the area is simply lovely. Huge trees bring a lot of shade to vendors and customers. Plenty of local veggies offered and plentiful free parking. Great walking area too. Next door to President Jimmy Carter Museum & Library.

Of the Atlanta weekend farmers’ markets, this one is the most farm. People are there promptly at 8:30am vying for local fruits and vegetables, and they take their vegetables serious. While taking pictures of some adorable carrots, I could feel the glare of the gentleman next in line. He was not here for basic bish antics. He was here for adorable carrots and was going to get the best of the lot. You’ll find a wide selection of produce not usually found in grocery stores. One vendor had all sorts of mushrooms. Another, artisanal goat cheese which probably makes you fancier when ingested. There is a bike valet so you can get the full “I love the environment and support local” experience. If you don’t care about the environment (or live far away) parking is readily available and free. For those looking for a less farm experience, there is coffee and pastries by well loved local shops. You can then take your iced coffee and walk the stone mountain path.
