Beautifully maintained reservation geared towards locals, many of whom like to walk their dogs. Visitors would benefit to know in advance that dogs belonging to Cambridge residents are allowed to be off leash and are plentiful. Cambridge parking sticker is required to park in the lot and tickets are issued daily . If you picnic here, you are picnicking with dogs. Danahey Park just around the corner is better geared towards picnicking and child play w/ grills, tables, soccer fields and playground. Alewife Brook Reservation is walking distance, lovely and dog free.

A great, scenic place to escape the city and enjoy the views over the water. The loop around the lake is slightly less than a 5k and is mostly flat which makes it a great place to walk and run. There is a water fountain near the main building too.
