I visit the weight room here about 3 times a week. There is also a gym for basketball and dodgeball, and a shower room. The weight room has up-to-date, well-maintained equipment. After-school program. Very reasonable yearly fees, and they also allow drop-in visitors.

I first discovered what Friendly House had to offer a few weeks ago. I appreciated the resources that they had to offer,such as a gym, bathrooms, and showers that one could use as well as internet service and free food to collect whenever needed. I was able to take advantage of free internet service that I was allowed, as well as the use of their phone to look for work since mine was not working; and I was unable to use because the service had been shut off due to inability to pay the bill. This privilege was granted to me at least 7 times. However, when I went in the 8th time, the bald headed gentleman at the desk as me if he can help me. I replied by saying "no". "I'll just go ahead and sign in". He then replied by telling me that I need a membership. How is it that this time, I'm not allowed to use the facilities without paying for a membership, when the previous 7 times, I was granted use of the facilities without having to pay?? And he was one of the staff that granted me free use of the computer and phone to look for work! Perhaps the Friendly House isn't so Friendly.

The basketball courts are nice to shoot around in, especially since you can usually have whole court to yourself. Big Group meets every Tuesday (I think) and play 5 on 5 Basketball games, competitive but friendly games, no trash talking just friendly,competitive games. Work out room is nice, usually a few people in there working out but people keep to themselves and switch between different machines, and dont usually use them for long. Great place to work out and play Basketbal, staff are friendly.

Absolutely incredible. The G I sit for loves it, teachers are kind, incredibly resourceful and creative with project ideas and execution. The mood is always happy and sassy - ha, the kids really seem to be enjoying themselves and comfortable to be themselves. Wish I had a binder of the projects that I see them doing.
