Fry the coop was on my list to try their Nashville hot chicken sandwich. This place from the outside looks more like a bar but it is both. Service is excellent and very friendly. I did get the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and if you follow my reviews you know I hold everything to Hattie B’s. This was in the running. Nice flavor, good crunch on the sandwich. 7.3/10 would recommend. Hattie B’s still holds my foodie heart. Great place to come and relax away from the heart of Chicago and enjoy a pint and great food!

Got the chicken tender flight with 6 tenders each at a different level of heat and all of the sauces. The tenders were very good, high quality. The flavors we lacking. Was not wowed by any of the level and disappointed in the spicy levels. I was expecting more.

The food was delicious! My husband loves the chicken and waffles and I enjoyed the nuggets and Mac-n-cheese. The atmosphere is super fun and the bartender that assisted us was wonderful. I also enjoyed a "Jungle Bird" cocktail-- it's very sweet and delicious!

I love their Nashville hot chicken sandwich, the honey butter fried chicken sandwich, and the loaded messy fries! You can pick any spice level for any of their chicken dishes, which is a nice customization option. It ranges from mild to very hot. Their chicken is perfectly seasoned and crispy on the outside, but still juicy and flavorful on the inside. I prefer the Nashville hot chicken sandwich because I felt the pickles and coleslaw were necessary to balance the flavor. However, I still really enjoyed the sweet and salty flavor of the honey butter fried chicken sandwich - it was just a bit more rich and heavy. The loaded fries are also delicious and very generously seasoned and portioned!

Cute spot. The weather was nice so they had the front garage door open. The slight breeze was everything. They weren’t busy at all so we were in and out within 45 minutes. I had the chicken sandwich on a donut. I love the combination of sweet and savory. I got the medium level and it wasn’t spicy at all. My husband had the chicken sandwich on a brioche bun and he was very pleased. We had cheese fries on the side and those were also very tasty. To drink I had The Paloma and it was too strong (I don’t drink much). Service was good and our waitress came by a few times to make sure we didn’t need anything.
