My almost-10 year old grandson and I joined a small group of bakers of various skill levels for a fabulous class in “Cake Baking 101”. We had so much fun and learned so much! Gerry, the owner/executive chef, explained everything super clearly, and gave everyone the chance to do each step in the hands-on preparation of four different types of cake. He was patient and engaging. He also gave us lots of useful tips, ranging from measuring and mixing techniques to flavoring products to baking details like how much to fill a pan and how to test for done-ness. Our final products were beautiful and delicious—and we got to take them home! We will surely return for more advanced classes.
