Mixed feedback for Glacier. Independent living - Know several folks who are very happy there and provide good and balanced feedback. Every place (not just Glacier) has difficulty staffing at times and at times it shows a bit. On-balance, folks who have lived in independent are quite happy with the apartments, activities, fellow residents, food, and facility even with the periodic hiccup or two (which can and does happen everywhere). Rehab - Friend was there about a year and a half ago (she eventually did move to independent living at Glacier). Rehab can be hard to staff and it showed. VERY long waits once pushed button for bathroom assistance, medication delivered quite late, etc. Not having to lay in one's own waste because someone actually comes to take to the restroom before there is an accident and receiving meds on time would seem like base expectations. On one visit while looking for someone to help after at least 45 minute delay for both, I saw only one staff member on the whole wing and they were busy. Heard laughing behind a floor to ceiling mirror, knocked, and it turns out it was a hidden office where four staff members were joking around while patients waited for help and meds. I asked where the supervisor was and one of them pointed to a man sitting on a desk swinging his legs (so I did not just catch a "moment" while they were working). That is inexcusable (and I am certain not what management expects). Do wonder why there is a place intentionally constructed to allow staff to hide from patients and their visitors/advocates? Could this also be a contributor to loss of good staff members? Imagine actually caring, working hard to help people, doing your job, all the while knowing the complaints you get when you finally walk in a room are because your fellow staff members (in this case 80% of those I could find) are hiding and goofing off. I know I would not stay. Understand they have a new person over rehab at this point so hopefully that will lead to changes. Not certain whether Trinity purchase helped or hurt? Have impression they are pretty corporate in their approach to care which these days means cost cutting and maximization of profit above all else but there have been some nice updates and improvements since they took over. Hard to say.

My mom made the choice to move from her home to independent living, at the encouragement of me and my siblings. Many of the apartments are being upgraded. She was able to pick her finishes. Her apartment is gorgeous! My mom is engaged, happy and our time together is fun. Lots of activities to choose from, including exercise classes 6 days a week, movies, social hour each week, and concerts to name a few. We asked at the tour what if she wants to host friends for dinner? No problem, for a small cost for their dinners, they will bill her monthly account. She can bring a bottle of wine to enjoy with their dinner if they like too. The residents and staff are truly a community. They go out of their way. Update 1/10/25: HAPPY! My mom is happy, engaged and as busy as she wants to be.

Judging from the previous reviews this place is still a disaster. I wouldn’t recommend placing someone that you love/care about in the CCRC facility. I definitely feel like they treat the residents differently once their family members leave, and NOT in a good way. They’re definitely short staffed, there’s always a long wait when pressing the call light, I can see why residents fall a lot. The worst part is Over hearing CNA’S and a Nurses gossip about the residents, unprofessional and tacky!

My father was in rehab at Glacier Hills and we had the best experience. As some one who works in senior services, I am very aware of the options in the market for seniors. Many are not ideal. Glacier Hills was very different. The environment was updated, clean and welcoming. The care, PT, OT and other services were excellent. The staff was attentive and knowledgable. The Director, Ben M. , is very present, professional, compassionate and has created a culture where his team is appreciated and in turn they are giving their best. This is essential in senior services. I have such confidence in the Glacier senior community. My dad healed and recovered well at Glacier and we would highly recommend it. Thank you to the team there!
