Been coming to this one for at least a decade. The store's quality depends entirely on the manager working there at the specific time. Problem is, there's a manager who has been there over a year whose presence means 90% fewer items on shelves, no exaggeration. Past managers and workers have confirmed what we've noticed: he throws out a lot of sellable stuff, and almost never puts anything out himself. A past manager confided that they once left their shift with several carts ready to go out, just to find when arriving after the weekend (when this manager was taking over) that the carts WERE STILL THERE, meaning he didn't put any of them out over a 2+ day span. Other cashiers have said he takes 2-4 hour lunch breaks/trips to bank, and yet keeps his job. Recent manager left bc of the extreme laziness of this manager and had said they did over $1M in sales last year. I would spend $50/day easily with past managers who operated normally, but lucky to spend $5-10 bc NOTHING IS PUT OUT. The goodwill franchise is 100% guaranteed to be losing money as long as this manager remains. Everyone talks about it. At one point he was even intentionally double parking (see pics), which really says everything you need to know. Managers are usually aware of business economics: put the customer's interests first bc they pay the bills, increase supply of goods so sales increase. Instead, the norm now is to increase price on items like $45 dinged up dressers and desks that will sit there for months bc of the insane price. Perhaps the higher ups will read this and make some changes. They absolutely will notice the drop in sales entirely due to having only the problem manager at the location. The other workers are all great though. Never had any complains, although many great employees have quit directly bc of current manager. EDIT: I realize 1 star wasn't fair. It's still a good place, but memories of past years of plentiful stuff on shelves every day are still strong in my memory.

I found a jacket I wanted to purchase, and inside the pocket was a small amount of cash and a receipt—likely left by the original donor. Wanting to do the right thing, I left the money in the pocket and brought the item to the register without touching it. While ringing me up, the cashier kept going back to the jacket under the guise of inspecting it. On the third time, she discreetly removed the money and receipt and appeared to drop them behind the counter. The money was not placed into the register, handed to a manager, or put in a safe—it was pocketed by the cashier. After leaving the store and checking the jacket, my fiancé and I confirmed the money was gone. He went back in to ask about it, and the cashier quickly denied seeing anything and immediately started texting on her phone. I’m not upset about the cash itself—it wasn’t mine to begin with—but the way it was handled felt dishonest and unprofessional. It’s disappointing to see behavior like this in a place that’s meant to serve the community. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses it internally.
