I would advise some caution when leaving personal belongings, such as backpacks, at the front counter. The current system appears to operate on the honor principle, which had served me well for many years, until recently. Before entering the store, I placed my baseball cap inside my backpack and left it at the designated area. After finishing my visit, I went grocery shopping without checking the bag immediately. Later, while unpacking groceries into the backpack, I noticed the cap was missing. I considered every possible explanation - perhaps it fell out or was misplaced, but after checking with Goodwill, the sidewalk, and customer service at the nearby store I visited, no one had seen or reported finding it. While I’ve generally had positive experiences with Goodwill over the years, this incident left me with concerns. Though I can’t say for certain what happened, the experience made me realize how vulnerable personal belongings might be under the current system. I hope Goodwill considers implementing a more secure option in the future.

I was dropping off some old purses at the Sunnyvale location today. 6/2/25 2:15. The fellow on duty immediately looked through the purses and found a blank check I had left in a wallet by mistake. He called me back and returned the check. I so appreciate the honesty!!

ZERO handicapped parking. The "path" to get to the front door from the parking lot (across the road) requires a person to be physically able to climb up on a 4" concrete curb, walk over a sharply slanted, uneven HILL, then DOWN another 4" curb just to reach the 4 lane road you have to cross to even get to the building! Hella inaccessible!! Though I did (eventually) make it to the building, half of the clothing aisles were too close together to navigate, & other aisles were plain impassable with items blocking them. To top it all off, they barely had any plus size clothing at all. I don't recommend this Goodwill. At all.
