Wonderful venue for sub 80 guests The fireplace room can comfortably seat 65(with plenty of leg and shoulder room) but you can squeeze in up to 78 if you wanted to. We chose rows of 4 and 5 to leave more room for the isle walking. In the ballroom we used 9 round tables (72seats) plus a head table, 3 8 foot tables as a food table and a gift table as well with room for two more round tables if you wanted more guests. That’s 8 seats per table but 9 is definitely possible. The way we had set up didn’t feel squeezed at all and actually quite comfortable and balanced. The colors a very good and they do clean the place so don’t look down on how it looks during a walk through. Highly recommend getting one of the bridal rooms if available as they give so much more feeling and headspace for the day of- especially if you have a first look- The downstairs room is good for placing gifts or items and the groom to use. Huge benefit to be next to green lake for pictures. The only downside is parking- especially if you have a weekend event. Other than that, staff is very helpful and this is a great value venue that checks the most boxes for desires imo. March and April you get blossoms, summer is sunny and green, fall is color and rain reflection. (Greenlake or UW pictures) there’s also the rose garden down the road by the woodland park zoo. 10/10 fully satisfied and glad we picked here for our wedding! Also- Get the rope lights!

The Great Hall served as a semi-destination venue for us, as neither my husband nor I live in Seattle. We’d seen the venue on a walk around the lake, and loved the neighbourhood. Thank you, THANK YOU, to the team at Great Hall. Everything was smooth, questions answered within a few days & we had an amazing wedding. It is very much a DIY venue, you’re just renting a fab space, but the team made organizing from afar a breeze.

We had our wedding here recently and we were really happy with the Great Hall at Green Lake. This is an affordable venue for a wedding (or wedding reception in our case) in a city that is no longer affordable. Plus, the location can't be beat--great pictures at Green Lake before or after. This is a unique building with plenty of space -- we had 70 people but the place easily fits 250 +. Layout is simple, the owners are easy to work with and clear on what they provide and what you'll need. The also offer garbage service for a fee, which was completely worth it. Highly recommended. One thing to keep in mind for this place is that it doesn't have AC (as many other reviews have already mentioned), so if it's a summer wedding, plan to have it in the evening and keep some fans going. We knew this before booking and so there were no surprises. In short, do your homework and make sure this space caters to your needs. This is essentially a space for rent (and a fabulous one), which provides the basics : chairs, tables, a PA system, a small kitchen, etc. You are in charge of set-up and clean-up unless you book this through another company. The Great Hall was clear with us from the start, paperwork was easy, and they made good on what they offered. Overall, we were really happy with the experience and wouldn't change a thing. If you're thinking about using this spot as a possible venue, DO IT! You're not going to find a better value in Seattle -- especially in Green Lake! Thank you Great Hall -- we are grateful for the experience.

There's plenty of space, except for the kitchen and bathrooms. I'm pretty sure they rent apartments to people upstairs, which might be awkward if the you use the bathroom upstairs. If you book space here THERE IS NO PARKING, your guests will have to pay for parking and so will you. There is great natural lighting in the day and the space is aesthetically pleasing, so if you can ignore the cons it's not a bad venue.
