The grandkids loved this park with the creek. Make sure if you take a dog that you keep them on leash, but they’ll have a good time as well. Everyone’s pretty friendly. It can get hot so be sure to have some water if you’re gonna stay out for too long.

This is an excellent park for building a love of hiking and nature in small children. If you start from the Floral Park Dr trailhead and hike to the playground and back, you'll have an exciting incentive for kids at the midpoint of the hike (and it's a really nice playground with picnic tables, stationary exercise equipment, a rock pit with a cool shovel/seat contraption, a playscape, swings, outdoor musical instruments, and a big rope web for climbing) and a long enough hike to make the visit feel worth it (but short enough that kids can feasibly walk the whole way on their own). The trail is a beautiful hill country trail with rocks, some hills (including steps, so don't bring a jogging stroller), a couple of small streams (more if it rains), and a mix of shrubby growth and trees.

We went with our 4 year old. The trail is quite rugged but still manageable for little ones. Great way to spend an afternoon with the family!

Woodsy park with several meandering trails spreading through the neighborhood, crossing streams, and reaching multiple trailheads.

Pretty park with several different paths to take. Next to a river, shaded with trees. Pretty little easy hike.
