The side dishes (banchan) were fresh and delicious, Among them, the foods I liked the most ware the octopus samgyeopsal and spicy braised short ribs. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for quality food and a cozy atmosphere.

🔥 A Hidden Gem That Deserves More Than 5 Stars 🔥 After what felt like an eternity of anticipation, I finally made it to Haneuem—and wow, was it worth the wait. From the moment I stepped in, the ambience radiated upscale comfort with a modern twist on traditional Korean aesthetics. Think warm lighting, sleek interiors, and a vibe that whispers special occasion but welcomes you like a regular. Let’s talk food—next-level Korean cuisine that pays homage to its roots while elevating every bite. The soy and spicy marinated crabs? An absolute umami bomb, perfectly balanced and addictively flavorful. The LA Galbi, wagyu beef, and spicy short ribs were melt-in-your-mouth tender and expertly seasoned. Every dish was a standout, but I’d be remiss not to mention the pancakes—crispy-edged, golden, and a must-order for the table. Service was exceptional across the board—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. The staff made us feel like VIPs without the pretension. This isn’t just a meal—it’s an experience. I already can’t wait to come back and bring everyone I know. Haneuem has officially earned a spot in my foodie rotation, and if you haven’t checked it out yet, what are you even waiting for?

Tucked away in a plaza in the heart of Los Angeles, HanEuem is the quintessential authentic Korean food serving comfort food and good vibes. As one of the better places to get raw marinated crab, HanEuem already gets my appreciation and approval. Keep in mind they often run out of the soy sauce marinated crab (bummer, I know!) but their spicy crab isn't bad either. Their food portions are generous and it truly does taste like comfort Korean food, retaining the authentic flavors while also giving them their own personality. The place is cozy with sufficient seating for a good amount of people given the size of the place. Being in a plaza, for better or for worse, yes this is yet another valet spot in Ktown. The service is good, the staff is friendly, and they help you out if needed. Overall, HanEuem delivers on the promise and is a great spot to grab a meal. Solid 4.5 stars.

Truly one of a kind experience of a delicacy I didn’t know existed until we stepped into this cozy eatery in ktown. As we’re crab lovers we just had to try the soy sauce fermented fresh raw crabs and we fell in love with them. The crabs are so juicy, fresh and sweet. Surprisingly they’re not fishy at all. The waiter is very friendly, patient and helpful as we never had this dish before so he had to explain how to eat them. Basically you squeeze the crabs to get the meat and juice out onto the sauce bowl then you mix it all up. Then you scoop a little bit of rice into the crab shell with all the juices and gooey stuff in it. If you love crab you have to try this!

Raw marinated crab & shrimp at Haneuem by Chef Kang was good. A bit salty for me but savory and flavorful. Kimchi cheese fried rice was very tasty. I came here for marinated crab but ended up loving kimchi cheese fried rice the most. Service was good. Ambience was nice. Only downside is valet parking only and it’s very hard to find street parking.
