Why Happiest Hour is a fun option when searching for things to do near me with friends and family

Happiest Hour is a vibrant cocktail bar and restaurant that has carved out a unique niche as a perfect meetup spot for friends seeking both top-tier drinks and satisfying food. Known for its lively atmosphere and tropical-inspired decor, this establishment invites guests into a relaxed yet upbeat environment reminiscent of a tiki beach bar, making it an ideal setting for casual gatherings or after-work nights out. One standout highlight is its expertly crafted cocktails, developed by owners with experience from celebrated bars such as The Pegu Club, The NoMad, and Death & Co, which ensures a high level of mixology skill and creativity. Alongside the cocktails, Happiest Hour is particularly renowned for its burger offerings, with the signature Happiest Burger—a double-patty creation featuring American cheese, confit onions, and a special house sauce—earning widespread praise and considered a must-try. Additional menu options include avocado and fried chicken sandwiches that provide good sustenance for extended socializing. Here's what people think of Happiest Hour

As of recent, Happiest Hour holds a 4.3-star rating based on 4979 reviews.

Review feedback for Happiest Hour paints a picture of a popular spot with some stark contrasts in guest experiences. Positive reviews consistently highlight the quality and creativity of the cocktails, the inviting and fun tropical-themed ambiance, and the standout food items, particularly the burgers, which many consider among the best in the area. Patrons appreciate the blend of excellent drinks and tasty, satisfying bar fare, making it a favored place for after-work drinks and casual nights out. However, negative reviews tend to focus on inconsistent service experiences—reports of slow and inattentive service, especially during busy times, and an automatic 18% gratuity added without clear notification have caused dissatisfaction among some patrons. While the food quality receives commendation even from dissatisfied guests, these service issues have affected the overall dining experience for certain visitors. In summary, while Happiest Hour excels in delivering quality cocktails and a memorable burger, potential visitors should be aware of possible service variability. Nonetheless, many customers find the positives outweigh the negatives, making it a worthwhile venue to experience, particularly for those prioritizing great drinks and flavorful food in a lively setting.

We tried this place recently for a happy hour and had a good experience. The place is massive with seating inside, outside on the patio, and on the rooftop. It was 90+ degrees, so we sat in the bar area at a table. They have great happy hour specials with half-off appetizers and cocktails. We tried the dip trio as an appetizer. Great portions of dip for the price. My wife tried the Berries from the West and I tried the Game Time old fashioned. Both had great flavor. Our service was great. We will definitely be back.

Took a friend up on a recommendation and was not disappointed with my choice to visit. The food was really good. The atmosphere is very chill and relax, but can be upscale if you’re feeling like dressing up. All in all great visit and will definitely be back the next time I’m in town.

I was visiting from out of town and stopped by the Happiest Hour for drinks and lunch. The staff was fine, but they seemed more engaged in their own conversation when I arrived, which may have distracted them from attending to me right away. I ordered my food at the bar and chose to sit outside on the rooftop patio, where I was welcome to seat myself. I ordered brisket nachos, which were brought to me, but I didn't receive any utensils or napkins. The view was pleasant, but overall, the food and service were mediocre.

I came here for the happy hour. Ended up ordering the nachos and a mocktail, which were decent. The bartender wasn’t the most attentive. Not that I’m needy, but occasionally you should check on the customers sitting at the bar .
