For $19 I got everything I needed, and more than expected from a bigger venue.

My friend and I saw a show a couple days ago, we are from out of town and it was our first time at the Hi-dive. Very nice aesthetic but didn’t seem to feel very welcomed. We waited at the almost empty bar for a good 5-10 minutes before we were helped due to the bartender having social hour. I understand it’s a venue but there was little to no seating. The bathrooms are grungy and not labeled at all. We don’t expect to be greeted with open arms but a little more warmth from people would have been nice… feel like I saw everything I needed to see. Not a place I’m dying to go back to.

Came in from out of town for a show. The interior was cool, the show was great and had decent sound. The vibe was just off though. Bartenders brushed us off and it just felt unwelcoming. I felt like I wasn't from there the whole time. I've been around to different indie music joints and never felt that way. Seeing the way the owner replies to some pretty reasonable complaints in reviews seals the deal for me. I won't be back and was disappointed that's where I spent my night in Denver. The show would have been better anywhere else.

Good prices. Great stage. Friendly staff. We were near at the back of the crowd and still were very close to the stage, we had an easy time seeing and hearing. I loved that there were little shelves all over if you need to put something down for a sec. The bar is long, well stocked and well staffed. I never had to wait long for a drink, all the drinks were cold and tasty. If it gets a bit too loud, it was super easy to step out to a little area close to the bar (or outside if you are 21+) to re-regulate and get back in there. It made for a great show!
