So I was reluctant to give this place a chance due to the reviews and unfortunately I have to agree with some of the negative comments. I will start out with the positives. The place is very well kept and clean. The outside is nicely set up with TV's and a mister as well as shaded areas to enjoy. The prices are more than reasonable. However as previously patrons have said the service is desperately needing help. I watched the server help several customers before me when it was clear I was there first as it wasn't even crowded. The server also knew some of their names. This is not hospitable or a way to attract new people or you are solely focused on your click or regulars ahead of others. I have seen people comment servers can have an off day which is true but there is a pattern here as the reviews attest to. Also, I am in the service industry and you have ONE chance just as in life to make a first impression and that first impression is even more important in today's times especially with the service industry. I highly encourage better training and to be more attentive and welcoming to ALL guests to encourage more to visit.

So I normally don’t say anything however I’ve been going to the hidden door for a long time and never had an issue until yesterday. Myself along with 4-7 other guys was playing pool and enjoying ourselves until the manager on duty sent Daniel to only come and ask me to lower my voice while playing pool when all the guys and music was playing around and having fun. The guy Daniel came to me and said your voice is scaring other guest and we don’t need a fight to break out because of you. Once this was said I went to the manager on duty to explain to him how that looked not only to me however to other guys around me that even walked up to me and said “well that guy was rude and disrespectful to you” then the other guy went to approach the manager as well because at the end of the day we were all having fun and everyone in the pool area was loud and enjoying themselves not just me. I felt very targeted and pointed out which is not good to me at all. The hidden door has always been an establishment that I along with other friends can come enjoy ourselves. When the second guy approached the manager he said he singled him out and nobody in that area had a issue because it’s pool music and fun meanwhile the manager rolled his eyes and kept serving other guest. After everything was said Daniel came up to the manager on duty and had a conversation about it however nothing was solved or rectified at all which is not good at all. So i decided to leave along with the 7 other people that i invited to come with me and the other guys who were shooting pool because it was just unnecessary. I really do hope in the future that this can be handled differently because at the end of the day the bar is a great place to come to, chill, vibe and listen to music any day of the week.

This place is really weird to deny a group of 4 guys and two girls just because us girls had purses and took an uber so we couldn’t “go put our purses in the car” says the door loser. door loser got sassy with me when I asked if they were serious and it just felt sexist and weird. This bar definitely gives weird vibes, don’t waste your time

Hands down, the best LGBTQ+ bar in DFW. Staff is always friendly and the patio is unmatched. The best thing is that this is a "non profit" bar which donates a significant amount of money to local charities. Not to mention the 47 years of history that this place holds in our community.
