Be sure to bring your card in each time. (depending on the CC we’ve been able to get in at others without it, not super friendly staff here) wasn’t aware about it at this center so was turned down entry with my 1 year old for the tot open gym. A warning would’ve been nice with how cold it is outside, we were looking forward to the open gym.

Compare to other community centers in West Seattle Highpoint is my least favorite. I’m taking into account how "friendly" the staff including the supervisor is and uniformed they are. I was able to get more accurate information about city wide programs, scholarships and cost grin other community centers on several occasions. Alki and Hiawatha have a much better feel, so even though Highpoint is close to our house, we often choose to sign up for classes elsewhere. Good people left, there must be a reason. Often times we sign up for classes and they get cancelled due to not enough interest. Old school coach Hopp really shouldn't coach kids. I am giving two stars. One for an excellent piano teacher Nancy and Johnny (I believe he's an athletic supervisor). And one star is for long hours of operation. The interior could use an update, but I imagine that the budget is tight and a community center this far south isn't a priority for the city of Seattle Parks and Recs. :-(
