For me, this is essential: in a professional manicure,the tools are sterilized, the cuticle is first pushed back, then carefully removed with a drill or scissors, and only then does the actual work begin. Here, everything was done out of order, skipping the most basic steps. The nail shape was filed unevenly and carelessly, and I seriously doubt the tools were properly sterilized. Maybe the polish will last a while, but aesthetically, the result is a disaster. My nails look messy and far below the standard of care I’m used to. I cried on the way home — instead of feeling pampered and uplifted, I was left stressed and upset, now forced to spend more money to fix it, which I hadn’t planned for. It’s a real shame, but I definitely won’t be coming back, and I cannot recommend this place. A manicure isn’t just a service — it’s a form of self-respect, and what I received didn’t reflect that at all. If someone is ok with this quality, I'm happy for them, but I'm not. When I expressed concern, she blamed me and said she wouldn’t have recommended dip if she knew I’d “be this way.” The pedicure wasn’t great either—gel was applied too thickly and the massage was lackluster. I’m very pregnant and was really looking forward to this visit, so I ended up upset and asked for Minh, who’s always amazing. He fixed the manicure and made the nails look natural, though my cuticles still hurt. I didn’t ask for a refund and still tipped all three techs $10. I’d recommend booking with someone you trust here—like Minh—but I hope all techs are more careful and kind in the future. This experience honestly reminded me why I bought my own gel kit for home.

I was very very happy with my manicure at first until I realized what Ming did to my natural nails. Instead of trimming my cuticles he quickly went in with the electric file and buffed them off. Maybe I’ll come back and try a different nail tech but realizing extent of the damage is so disappointing. (Mind you I only used acetone with light scraping to remove the nails so yes the damage was done at the salon.) I have yet to find a single nail salon that doesn’t ruin my natural nails that I’m trying to grow out 🤦♀️
