Happy 4th to you all out there in California USA. Had to take my lady to try out Hobee's and she loved it. Our waitress Ernestina was a 14 year veteran and was a TRUE ONE. Great job on her service and communicating to us on all the plates. I decided to try out some breakfast rice bowl that was off the hook delish! Muy bueno! The Griddle pancakes with a bunch of food packed inside was splendid. It had bacon, cheese, avocado, onion. PHAT! The place was packed with customers and it was buzzing with happy liquor'd individuals. The blueberry coffee cake is their trade mark. Lord have mercy on my stomach. Soooo fresh it comes out of the oven steaming on your table. Toda la comida esta bien hecha de los cocineros. Los latinos hacen este lugar que trabaje como una machina de comida. Dios Mio! Que Rico!

2.0Star Hobee's We came in for brunch, hoping for a satisfying meal, but unfortunately, the experience was far from it. The Mountain View Special Omelet had nice, fluffy eggs, but the sausage and vegetables inside were bland and unappetizing. The “World-Famous” Blueberry Coffeecake was a major disappointment. It was dry, very dry, lacking any lemon zest or freshness. It tasted as if it had been sitting out for days. The Lemon Blueberry Ricotta Pancake although came with plenty blueberries, lacked both aroma and flavor. It tasted flat and uninspired, though the syrup was surprisingly good with a balanced sweetness. The bowl of chili soup was flavorless and bland, even worse than a canned version. To make matters worse, we found a string of HAIR in our omelet. Our waitress, who was kind and professional, immediately brought it to the attention of the General Manager, Melissa. Instead of handling the situation with care, she sighed in relief and dismissively said, “Oh, it’s not a hair, it’s just a hair-net.” That response was shocking and unacceptable!!! We paid and left, deciding never to return. While the waitstaff was excellent and friendly, the food was overall disappointing—flavorless, lacking freshness, and in desperate need of improvement. But what truly ruined the experience was the manager’s dismissive attitude. A restaurant’s reputation is built not just on food but also on how it treats its customers.

So we went here because this wasn’t a chain (Dennys ihop) restaurant and the reviews were great, which isn’t always a telltale sign but we figured we’d give it a shot. It’s right next to a hotel and shares a sign with them so when I seen that, I was a little nervous, but the food was definitely something to appreciate. It almost was like a home cooked meal. So if you’re looking for breakfast places in the area, definitely stop by here. They had their signature blueberry cake which came to us literally steaming. I recommend you stop by give this place a shot you won’t be disappointed. I would come back if we are in the area.

We have visited this place multiple times because of the omelet menu and the friendliness, warmth, and swift service they offer. We thought the generosity of the food portion was incredible, and they served our food simultaneously. One of our friends loved their signature tea, though not so much with their coffee. We thought it was bland. However, overall, we are pleased with the choices they offer and happy to recommend them.

This review is as honest as I can be. While I didn't quite enjoy my meal, (Mendocino sando) and the chicken sausage. The waiter Miguel took notice I did not finish even 1/4 of my meal and took it off our bill. He salvaged a 1 star review and made it a 3 star. Impressive service. Food is kind of bland, the hash is flavorless, the coffee was just OK. Honestly we won't return for the food. Thanks Miguel for the wonderful service , a great and attentive server.
