The Greater West Hollywood Food Coalition has done an excellent job in providing badly needed free meals to low income and homeless people in all of Hollywood. Many times low income and homeless people end up dependent on nutritionally deficient corporate fast food as a major source of their diet, this results in numerous long term health problems. Even mental health problems ranging from hyperactivity to impulsive combative behavior can be symptoms can easily be the result of nutritional deficiencies, which can be reversed with an improved diet. I have seen this to be the case with many homeless people. Please urge law enforcement and private security to NOT harass these people doing an excellent job in solving many problems we have on the streets. Focus on gangs and violent crime and let the Greater West Hollywood Food Coalition do their job.

This organization is a literally a LIFELINE for people facing food insecurity! Being able to get even just 1 free, hot meal any day of the week is my only saving grace while I’m out of work/money. I look forward to volunteering with them when i get back on my feet. I would love to help out the folks who run the nonprofit and give back to the community.
