A great swimming facility with lap lanes, recreational swim areas, a water slide, and friendly staff. I deducted one star because the men's locker room is always filthy. They recently closed for several weeks for maintenance, and when they reopened, the locker rooms were just as filthy.

This pool has gone downhill big time and will never return to it's former glory. Staffing is the worst. You never know if they are open or not, never answer the phone, no current or updated recording and i swear some of them are just plain mental or high. I had some alleged manager tell me that i couldn't swim under water in the deep end. He acted like i had scuba gear on with tanks and such(rolling my eyes). I rarely swim under water and if i do, it is close to the surface of the water b/c i am very buoyant unfortunately. I mainly scull with my arms and hands, egg-beat with my legs and float. I looked around and asked a few times if he was talking to me and or if he was joking. He wasn't. I was flabbergasted by what he said. All i could think to say was - "What happens to people that use the diving board and end up being under water after they dive? And - why is there a deep end if no one is allowed to swim under water?" He was so insane i just went home. He ruined my whole day. It all started going down hill in about 2018. They use to have the slide going, paid attention to complaints about dirty locker rooms so they hosed regularly, didn't have weird hours, actually showed up to work and they were much more prideful and professional about their jobs. After Covid no one wanted to work even though they get paid very well b/c it's city job. I tried to get a hold of ppl in Parks & Recreation to no avail. They just don't care. Sad story about a community pool that has been in Hollywood for over 50 years(opened in 1950 and remodeled in 2015). It only took 10 years from the remodel to become completely run down. They even had a high dive at one time. End of an era.
