Why Holy Mountain Brewing Company is a fun option when searching for things to do near me with friends and family

Holy Mountain Brewing Company, located in Seattle's industrial Interbay neighborhood, is an exceptional place to meet up with friends who appreciate distinctive craft beer experiences. Founded in 2014 by a group of passionate homebrewers, the brewery emerged from a scrappy DIY spirit within a repurposed warehouse space once housing Alaska Copper Works. This origin story reflects the brewery's commitment to innovation, quality, and a communal atmosphere that fosters creative brewing experimentation. The taproom offers a welcoming environment where beer enthusiasts can gather to sample a diverse and evolving lineup of beers, many of which are barrel-aged or barrel-fermented to develop unique, complex flavors. Their beers include styles like imperial IPAs dry-hopped with vibrant hops such as Galaxy and Citra, foudre-aged saisons, and innovative farmhouse ales like grisettes. The use of oak barrels salvaged from wineries and distilleries imparts depth and character, making the tasting experience both adventurous and approachable. Additionally, Holy Mountain prioritizes sourcing premium malts, hops, fruit, and oak, ensuring freshness and intention in every pour. Beyond the beer itself, the brewery builds community with engaging events and consistent communication through weekly emails, inviting guests to enjoy their offerings on-site or through local bars and shops. The blend of historic industrial ambience, expert craftsmanship, and a collaborative spirit makes Holy Mountain Brewing Company a vibrant and memorable destination for friends seeking quality and camaraderie in Seattle's craft beer scene.

I swear sometimes I go just to revisit the names of their beers: "only the penitent man knees," "As the universe, so the soul." This is the OG location. The interior is sparse and clean, not unlike a monastery. Every wall hanging, poster, painted wall mural feels to have been placed with intention. There's access to Pizza down the hall through the red curtains and it is astonishingly satisfying pizza. Crust is perfect. Toppings are cooked just the way they need to be. Then you add a beer with the curiously intriguing name, that makes you ponder theological themes with a friend who came with...and you have a perfect Friday afternoon. If you don't feel like eating pizza, try the snack mix. I prefer to snack while I'm drinking so this was ideal. The music selection is slanted towards everything heavy metal. But if you bring in an album they're willing to play it. Or so I was told when I asked if they had anything by Rush, the philosopher's band. I'll come back with an album and see if they mean it.

I love HM, it has been a regular haunt for my friends and I for a little over a year; the selection is always great and the atmosphere is one of the best for young (and almost not so young) adults in Seattle. Yesterday (meant to get his name) the man in the glasses handling the bar around 515 provided exceptional recommendations and service. There was a little hiccup with our bill but even though it got busy he made sure that we were well taken care of in the end while leading us to two great brews that I hadn’t tried before -and just might be my new favorites. Thank you for being cool and reminding me why I keep coming back

Top or top 2 brewery in Seattle! Beers are unbelievable and it doesn't hurt that they spin records too. I want mad about listening to Zeppelin 2 during my visit:)

We went in on the evening of August 31, 2024. The staff member on duty was very friendly, and unbelievably knowledgeable about the beers on tap, explaining the ones we chose very easily. The beers themselves were beyond amazing! The music selection was also incredible (assuming you enjoy heavy metal, like we do). Both my girlfriend and I loved this brewery, and will be adding it to our list of breweries to visit in Seattle! Holy Mountain is fully worth the trip from Calgary!

Overall the beers were very decent and I appreciated how they had a nice variety of different summer beer options. There weren’t any beers that were great, the space was very industrial and not great to relax at and they had items on their menu that weren’t available to order. A decent brewery but a bit disappointing from the praises I heard from others.
