My family and I were in town visiting Old Town San Diego. I like to window shop, so I wasn't necessarily planning on purchasing anything, but I did. My daughter and I got some pants and some tee-shirts that were only $2 each. They also have little knick knacks for sale. I enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and the 2 ladies behind the counter were nice. I could put the clothes on the counter so I could use both hands to look at more, which I appreciated. It's definitely worth a pop in if you're in the area....As to some other reviews: I, too, felt i was being watched, and I understood. This is a tiny store AND it is their livelihood. Theives will help themselves to anything these days. I've nothing to hide so it doesn't bother me. At least they are aware of me in case I need help with something. (As an aside: there's also a bathroom next door with a key for customers, as a bonus.)

We visited Old Town August 17th. We love thrift shops. We just happened to walk past yours went inside and fell in love I found a pair of cloisonne earrings everything was cute and wonderfully priced. We happened to visit on the Nationals Thrift Store Day. Hooray for discounts. The owner is very sweet and friendly. I would visit more often if I lived in the area although I live in Lakewood California . But when I come down again I'll visit.

Cute little shop with beautiful plants and unique items. Love the little teapot and picnic table I picked up to enjoy at home on my deck. Enjoyed a pastry and coffee next door at Garden coffee. The owner Jess is so sweet and knowledgeable on plants and their appropriate care.

Cute store, except I felt like I was being watched intensely when I went in. I was just looking around and taking my time when the owner's mother was staring me down. When I tried to smile at her, she barely gave me a smile back. I'm sure she was trying to see if I was stealing but she wasn't watching any of the other customers in the store like this. I've come to this store quite a bit before but not enough to be considered a regular but everytime it's just the owner herself, I feel welcomed and get friendly vibes but I definitely did not get that this time. Also, the mother said she could hold my stuff at the front of the store for me, which is pretty standard for this store, except they usually did that before when I had an armful of stuff. This time, I had a singular, small item. I really hate to say it but I am Hispanic and look it and I'm not sure if that affected her attitude towards me. I only give it 3 stars because I've had generally good experiences at the store before this, but I don't really think I will go back because I felt really uncomfortable this time. I genuinely love the owner and how nice she is. Her mother just doesn't seem as friendly and she seems to be there quite a bit. The value of the clothes is amazing and you can't get that anywhere else. Selection can be a little limited, but there is always something for everyone.
