Food order was done early. Food was delicious. Huge portions for good price. Everything was savory and delicious. The shrimp are gutted, and the wings are so big and good. The hush puppies are warm and served with sauces. The seafood boils are very hot and steamed in the bag! Tons of sauce in bag. This place is perfect!

Oh my gosh, you have to try the seafood boil here! It’s always cooked to perfection, and the butter sauces are just heavenly. I’m a sucker for the mussels and shrimp, and my wife absolutely loves the crawfish. The potatoes and corn are the perfect side to complete the meal. And let me tell you, the staff is always super friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is really relaxed and friendly, and the prices are very reasonable for a group or a couple. I highly recommend you stop by sometime!

I've seen Hook & Reel around town for awhile and decided to get take out tonight for the first time. Took about 20 min. As a Californian, I'm always looking for something that comes even close to the flavors back home and the freshness of live crawfish during season. Called the order in the Cajun Boil - 1/2 lb black mussels, crawfish, and headless shrimp ($27) with the H&R blend and spicy. Before ordering I asked if the crawfish was live since it's crawfish season and in the last few months that I have ordered crawfish at a seafood boil restaurant, it has been fresh. Decided to order. The H&R blend was more of a creamy cajun unlikely anything i've ever had. Not the best or the worse i've had but it could have been better because... Absolutely disgusting crawfish. It was frozen and tasted like it was at the bottom of the freezer from last season. I have had frozen crawfish before and this was beyond. Meat was chewy, had that distinct frozen smell, the head didn't have the creamy yellow because of course, it was frozen. It had the texture and taste of meat that had freezer burn and cooked over and over again. Are you guys selling frozen crawfish when it's crawfish season for $17/lb? The mussels and headless shrimp are never expected to be fresh and the two were edible. On the way home, i was even thinking about trying the AYCE they offer but it'll likely all be frozen and disgusting. Disappointed and didn't even eat a quarter of it. DON'T WASTE UR MONEY. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

Large seafood place with all-you-can eat options and sports bar vibe. The clam chowder was good the Shrimp basket was okay. The shrimp were good if you removed the excessive batter before eating them. The sweet potatoes were okay but there were too many in the basket and only seven shrimp. Service was fast and friendly and immediately remedied the problem when I was brought sweet tea instead of unsweetened tea. The space was large and fairly dark with loud music. This was partly my fault for not being specific, but I didn't realize there was a choice. They did have several TVs showing sports. They have very lots of parking.

Hook & Reel exceeded all of our expectations, and a huge part of that was thanks to our incredible server, Karen. She was beyond amazing — truly the kind of person every restaurant dreams of having. She was understanding, patient, and so knowledgeable about the entire menu. She explained everything in such a clear and friendly way, helping us make the best choices without ever feeling rushed. The pricing was surprisingly affordable, especially for the amount and quality of seafood we received. But the real star? The food. It was flavorful, fresh, and cooked to perfection — everything you could want in a seafood boil. Honestly, I can’t imagine a single thing to complain about. There’s nothing “fancy” or over-the-top, and that’s what makes it perfect. Just good food, great prices, and truly exceptional service. We’ll definitely be coming back — and asking for Karen again! As a girl raised by momma from Louisiana, 1000/10 food and service, and as a chef of 10 years best believe I WILL BE BACK!
