🚨 DO NOT GO HERE 🚨 I canceled my membership back in December, yet I’m still being charged months later. I called, went in person, and even communicated with someone over text. They still claimed I never reached out. I had to follow up again in May, and guess what? I’m still being charged. I now live an hour away from Boulder, so there’s no way I could even take advantage of the membership if I wanted to. This is not just an oversight it’s completely unacceptable and feels like a scam. No one has taken accountability. I’ve had to involve my bank, and while a claim was reversed, an employee messaged me again about the issue. I clearly explained the situation in full, and yet the membership was never canceled, I’m still being charged, and no refund has been issued. If you value your time, money, or peace of mind, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Total lack of professionalism and shady business practices.

I cannot recommend this place less. While the facilities are fine, the process of trying to quit is very unprofessional. When trying to quit, the person on staff gave me basically zero communication. Not only was I charged for my monthly membership at the first of the month, I also had to pay the next two months of my membership in order to quit. At the time I cancelled, there was not a singular mention from the person on staff that I would be charged at all - all I was told was that I would have to give a 60 day notice (annoying but fine). I was not aware of any charges until I checked my bank account that night. In fact, the cancellation agreement said that I would continue to pay as laid out in my contract. While the management will attempt to say that this cancellation policy is defined in the contract, the contract is very vague and there are inconsistencies across the different sections that make this information very hard to discern. I am very annoyed at the entire process and feel that this place is a genuine scam. The lack of transparency and general attitude at the facility is all part of an extremely concerning business model. Please save yourself the headache of this place and just go to another fitness studio or gym. I don't expect this place to stay around long with these poor business practices and borderline scammy behavior.

Love this place! The classes are great and I love that is open all day and night. During staffed hours they are always cleaning and it always feels really nice and clean. Staff is always helpful when you need something. I’ve never been able to stick to a workout and or gym but I’ve been coming here every day for 3 weeks now and am absolutely obsessed! Hotworx kind of just makes it easier to get there and do it!

Had a blast trying this new to us facility. Parking is free and a breeze in the garage attached to the building. Just note you’ll need to enter from the West door facing 30th street. Upon arrival we were greeted by the friendly and knowledgeable GM Candice. Her passion for the brand and offerings was palpable. She herself was a member for over a year before she took the position. Together we reviewed the cool gear, lotions, supplements, amenities as well as all the different studies (cycling, rowers, yoga, etc.). Classes refresh about once a month ensuring you don’t get bored. Class sizes are limited to 3 to ensure you have enough space to safely and enjoyable enjoy your workout. Before barre none class started we were acquainted with the infrared sauna our class would air in (on tv built into the wall). We learned how to turn off the lights, increase the volume and most importantly adjust the heat to suit our preferences (heat was set to 125 which we lowered down to about 105). Our yoga mats as well as foam roller and towels were all nicely set up for us. The class itself was ok. With the tv so high up on the wall it was a little challenging to keep an eye on the instructor without craning our necks. While we felt like we had a decent workout (each tv aired class features different people displaying different levels of difficultly) we really missed having a barre and hearing music and the fun it provides - tho we were told we could bring our own in via phone or little speaker. Would be curious what the other classes are like and would have enjoyed having a trial week as opposed to a trial class (I went with a friend so went to the class she was most interested in rather than mine). Overall this is a super clean place with friendly staff and great membership options. Since you can come in anytime (you get special access via your phone once you become a member) it’s super convenient. There’s also the added fun of challenges (there were cute handmade goodie bags for past participants at the front - showing the care Candice has for her members). Definitely check this place out if you are looking for a new gym with lots of flexibility and many class options.

Introvert heaven. This franchise came to mind recently when I was wondering why I no longer felt inspired to go to larger commercial gyms. I gave the free class a shot and intended on signing up for a membership that day if I enjoyed it. 10/10 experience and I've been feeling inspired to go every day! Atmosphere was welcoming and chill. My sleep has improved and I feel more agile in my other weekly activities. I feel relief from neck and upper back pain/tension since I work a desk job. There are plenty of options to choose from and the classes are challenging/you can choose how easy or how difficult you approach them. Regarding those negative reviews - the terms of the sign-on were very clear to me. I felt that Bobby's explanation was extremely transparent and I knew what I was getting into. Terms of cancelling membership were also very clear. As long as you're paying attention, your wallet will be happy.

What makes infrared sauna workouts at HOTWORX Boulder uniquely beneficial for group fitness experiences? Infrared saunas use specific light waves to heat your body directly rather than heating the air around you, which means your core temperature rises faster and calorie burn increases without excessive strain. This technology creates an effective fat-burning, detoxifying environment that supports cardiovascular health and muscle recovery. For groups, sharing this heating experience while exercising encourages a deeper collective sense of achievement as everyone pushes through the intensity together. The warmth also helps reduce joint pain and muscle stiffness, allowing members of all fitness levels to participate comfortably, reducing the typical barriers of starting a new workout routine. With classes ranging from guided hot yoga to barre and cycle workouts, the infrared environment is an equalizer—providing both challenging resistance and supportive warmth, so group members motivate each other through shared effort and accomplishment. It’s a workout experience that goes beyond the typical gym sweat session into holistic fitness and healing.

Additionally, having member access available 24/7 means no rush to finish before facility closing times, allowing your group to unwind collaboratively in the infrared environment post-workout. The virtual instruction feature removes the need to coordinate with multiple trainers—everyone benefits from the same high-quality class experience regardless of when they visit. This self-paced, yet coached, approach means your meetups can be as spontaneous or as planned as you want, creating a stress-free atmosphere that prioritizes wellness and group bonding.
