Why Hoyt Archery is a fun option when searching for things to do near me with friends and family
Hoyt Archery stands as a prestigious name in the world of archery, celebrated for its long history of innovation and dedication to quality. Founded in 1931 by Earl Hoyt Sr. and his son in St. Louis, Missouri, Hoyt started as a small workshop producing handcrafted cedar arrows and wooden bows. Over decades, it has evolved into one of the foremost manufacturers of recurve and compound bows, particularly noted for competition-grade recurve bows favored at the Olympic level, including by every individual gold medalist in archery at the 2012 Summer Olympics. The company's commitment to innovation is evidenced by many pioneering advancements, such as the introduction of reinforced plastics in bows during the 1940s, the first overdraw bows, semi-anatomic grips, and the Deflex-reflex design, all contributing to superior bow performance and user comfort. Hoyt Archery’s products appeal to a wide variety of archers, from beginners seeking quality entry bows to elite competitors who demand precision and durability. The business, now headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, also benefits from being part of the Easton family of companies, which provides extensive technical support and accessory manufacturing. This legacy and continuous development make Hoyt Archery a great place for archery enthusiasts to converge, share their passion, and find equipment tailored to their skill level and needs.

Bought a brand new RX8 ultra from my Hoyt dealer here where I live, they had to build it for me since I wanted the left handed tombstone one, took 2 months to get in, it shot great at first, but when I finally used it on my New Mexico january Mule deer hunt, the last day of my hunt I had a nice 10 point bedded down at 48 yards, waited till he stood up, once he stood I pulled back, I heard cracking, my cams over turned and locked up and string came off, so my bow was like a ticking time bomb while the buck just stood there looking at me , had to walk a mile and half back to my truck with l a dangerous locked cam bow, I’ve shot bows since I was 8 years old and I’ve never had a bow in my life mess up on me, I shot Mathew’s my whole life and switched to Elite bows for a little while and never had a problem with those brands, I heard great things from Hoyt bows and I follow Cameron Hanes so I thought I would switch to Hoyt which was the biggest mistake of my life! So I bought that bow bare with nothing on it for $2050.00 and after customs arrows, sight, arrow rest, stabilizers, kickstand and other accessories I was already $3500.00 into that bow! So fast forward I took the bow to my dealer , he ordered new cams for me got them installed a month later, went to pull back to test it out and the cams over turned and locked up again 🤦🏻♂️ , my dealer called Hoyt and they told him 3 different things that might could fix it, and every time it was doing the same thing. So we sent it back to them for the warranty department to see if they can fix it and send it back, but they have had my bow for 2 to 3 weeks now and I’ve called 4 different times to get a update cause I have a Texas auodad hunt coming up at the end of March and I needed it back before then to shoot and practice, they keep giving me the run around saying I can’t get a hold of the warranty department what’s your phone number and I’ll call you back and guess what I never get a call back, worst customer service and worst bow I’ve ever bought in my life, I’m going to go ahead a buy a reliable Mathew’s lift to shoot and take on my auodad ram hunt but once I get that rx8 ultra back from Hoyt I’m selling that piece of crap. 👍🏻

Floyd has always been a dominant piece in Mars has never let me down throughout all the years. I have been shooting. It really made a believe rod in me in 2005. When I shot into a world at the iac center, my low teeth for hard-hitting and smooth bowl, has off a bit ever since I shot the Hoy. I had an Aso red line cam, which started me in kinetic energy. I learned a lot about that bone. I learned a lot about the energy and limbs keep doing what you're doing, because it kept me my age, that's all I needed. Thank you for being there outlaw. Snacks eddie thank you.

I purchased a 25" Hoyt GMX3 riser from my preferred authorized dealer a few months back and, after getting the bow set-up, I was thoroughly enjoying the feel of shooting with it. However, I noticed that the mounting point for the front stabilizer had been machined off-center. I was tempted to just carry on using the bow but given the cost of the riser I decided it should be correct and spoke to the selling dealer who advised they would set-up an RMA with Hoyt. r/Archery - Negative Experience with Hoyt RMA I sent the riser back to the dealer on October 10th, and they promptly confirmed the riser was defective and sent it on to Hoyt, with it arriving around October 24th. This is where it all started to go downhill - It took until late November to get Hoyt to acknowledge they had even received the riser, and then until December 5th to get a response from them - As you can imagine there were quite a few annoyed calls from both myself and the dealer to Hoyt trying to figure out what was happening, and many call backs promised by Hoyt were never made. Last week Hoyt finally reached out to tell me that I am mistaken, and it is not machined incorrectly, and that they were rejecting the RMA and sending the riser back as-is. Hoyt have informed me that the issue I am seeing is because the riser has been 'buffed more on one side than the other so it just looks off-center'. I am livid, to say the least, it has been two months without my riser now and they are refusing to replace it. I made requests to speak to management, but when finally able to do so they were blunt and dismissive of my concerns. The dealer is now trying the same escalations through their rep, but it doesn't seem that route will resolve the issue either. I don't know that there is any other action I can follow than to vote with my wallet and not purchase any other Hoyt products, which is a shame as I have always enjoyed their compound bows as well. This isn't a call to arms, or a request for others to do the same, merely a musing on my experience that others may find to be forewarned in future.
