Lives up to hype! Lots of karaoke! It can get packed, but that's good because its a good environment. There is also lots of seating. Also randomly meet someone and played chess 😆

This tiki karaoke bar is a total gem for a fun, no-pressure night out. The atmosphere is lively and exciting, especially late into the evening when the crowd gets more animated and the drinks start flowing. Everyone—from shower singers to seasoned performers—is welcomed with encouragement and cheers, making it a genuinely supportive place to let loose on the mic. The staff here are friendly and upbeat, setting a great tone from the moment you walk in. The karaoke host runs a tight ship with an easy-to-use iPad sign-up system that lets you know exactly when you’re up—no guessing games. Pro tip: get in early and submit all your song picks up front. The host will do their best to keep you rotating through the night, and you can always adjust your choices to match the crowd’s energy. As for the drinks, the tiki cocktails and slushies are absolutely worth trying—tropical, boozy, and perfect for the vibe. I also had the poppers, which were fine but nothing to write home about. They hit the spot but aren’t the highlight of the menu. All in all, this place is a solid pick for a party night. Whether you're belting out ‘80s ballads or sipping a neon-hued rum concoction under a thatched roof, you're in for a good time.

I decided to check out this bar for karaoke on a Wednesday evening around 7pm. The bar was pretty empty when I arrived, and it was just me and the staff members who ended up singing in the karaoke before I left shortly after, but I really enjoyed my visit. The bartender lady and the lady that runs the karaoke were both very kind and lovely. I am glad decided to stop by this place just before moving to New York.

A fun tiki-themed karaoke bar with ample seating options, both at tables and the bar, plus a small stage for karaoke. The bartender was excellent, making it a great spot for a night out.

Similar experience as other reviewers with the DJ who puts songs at the bottom of the list if you’ve sang a duet (leaving u to wait while your song gets pushed down the list all night w no warning) and then goes up and sings whenever he wants. I didn’t know everyone could only sing once, thought u sign up and sing like any other karaoke bar in the world. Also he told off a woman for going up and dancing in the stage with her friend who was singing saying “if you’re on the stage that counts as your turn your song will be skipped” DIDN’T KNOW THIS WAS THE MARINES BRO. Let people have fun weirdo take your power trip somewhere else. Would have been 1 star bc of this but the wait staff were so friendly and welcoming.

The outdoor rooftop area is a popular feature, offering an open-air environment ideal for sunlight or starry nights, though groups should be mindful that it is uncovered and weather-dependent. This flexibility makes it easier for friends to move around and interact without feeling cramped. Furthermore, the overall ambiance is casual, with décor and music that contribute to a relaxed mood. The staff’s familiarity with hosting groups helps make events smoother, although there have been notes about service inconsistencies, so proactive communication about group needs is advisable. Why is Hula Hula perfect for hosting large group meetups? This outdoor seating is ideal for daytime meetups or early evening gatherings where guests can enjoy weather and lively surroundings. Additionally, if weather conditions prevent access to the rooftop, Hula Hula offers indoor seating, though capacity for large groups on the ground floor is limited and may require advance coordination. The venue encourages social interaction by providing communal tables and flexible seating arrangements that support both dining and casual hanging out. Importantly, the ability to make reservations, especially for specific rooftop areas, is a big plus for groups aiming to secure their preferred spot without hassle. While some reviews mention occasional service challenges with group size management, many guests report positive experiences with the staff’s efforts to accommodate and engage them. For very large parties, the indoor area may not have enough space to accommodate everyone together, so early communication with staff to discuss seating options and expectations is crucial. Timeliness and clear communication can help staff prepare and provide the best possible service. Guests might want to inquire in advance about menu options, group dining packages, or any special accommodations to enhance the meetup. Finally, budgeting time for socializing, eating, and possibly ordering multiple rounds of drinks or dishes can help ensure the gathering remains relaxed and enjoyable without feeling rushed. Keeping these practical considerations in mind will help groups maximize their positive experience at Hula Hula.
